Description for Chevrolet C-10 1970
A beautiful gold C-10 swb with accented wood trim. Topped off with a white cream on upper cab and mounted custom wheels. This truck turns heads! If you're not seen coming then they're going to hear you. Either way this truck gets and deserves attention. Minimal updates have been done to help preserve the original feel and smell of a 70's vintage classic. It really will take you back in time. The badging shows a 396ci V8. However, it has been replaced with a 454 that's tuned for performance. Fuel is fed by a holley demon carburetor. You will not be disappointed. It is virtually a no maintenance carb. It was tuned over 5 years ago and hasn't been touched since. The best street legal race carb I've ever owned. Its never been on a dyno but I'd say its 500 hp at minimum. The seats and door panels look to be original- along with a few other components. New carpet has been installed. Gas tank is still located inside cab- no odor of fuel at all guarenteed. All gauges work with the exception that speed odometer is off +/- 5mph. It is equipped with AM/FM radio and A/C- neither work. The suspension has been lowered for minimal clearance. This truck is set for slow cruising of 45 mph or less. The truck speaks for itself but it does have imperfections. The tailgate was replaced with a flimsy after market. Please notice the metal creases by tailgate handle. Also tailgate does not latch properly but does stay up. The paint is in great shape with only 2 chips you have to get right up to see. One on the tailgate and the other on the passenger side of the truck (on the side bed I believe- its tiny compared to the tailgate chip). The seat adjustment does not work. And tranny has very slow leak. The engine has an even slower leak- (from the rear main I believe). With that said, if you're looking for a hot rod like in american graffiti, this ones for you. I do reserve the right to cancel auction at any time.
