Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1968
I recommend anyone interested in the car who is close enough to come see it to please do so. The pictures do not do justice to how well this car presents itself. Beautiful '68 Convertible with matching numbers HT Code L79 327/350 HP Close Ratio 4-Speed. Black Top. Original Black interior. no rips or cracks in the seats. showing very little wear. Original wood steering wheel. Runs and drives excellent. Car was restored in 1999 and has been well documented and well cared for ever since. I have a New York State Certified Appraisal performed at the completion of the restoration. Also have documentation from all previous owners since the restoration. Many essential parts have been replaced that have kept the car in excellent functional shape. These owners have replaced the parts you never see. Vacuum hoses. actuators. cables. vacuum fittings. brake rotors and calipers. switches etc. By doing so. this car has remained in great condition over the last 15 yrs. and can be driven anywhere. The paint has remained beautiful although there are defects from this car being driven. they are not visible from beyond a few feet away. I have considered having it painted but everyone from car show judges to painters have told me to leave it alone until the paint really starts to show wear. They feel it would be hard to duplicate the look the car has in its present condition. I could go on and on. This car would be considered a high end driver at this point. Somewhere between a #2 and #3 on the Hagerty Scale. My Reason for selling it now is I am relocating out of state and prefer not to have to transport the car in the winter on an open trailer which is my only option at this point. Id rather sell it and buy something else when I get where I am going. I have not included many pictures because no matter how many I show. someone will want something other than what I put on here. I have shown a good representation of the car and can send pictures of any details you may want to see.
