Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1971
Offered for sale is my 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe. I have owned this beautiful car for 11 years. Since I have owned the car, it has never seen the rain and has always been kept in my garage. It has the numbers matching 350 engine. It also has the original Turbo Hydromatic 400 automatic transmission and the correct rear end. It has power steering, power brakes, and power windows. The red paint is in excellent condition with just a couple of blemishes. The small dimples below the hood from the aluminum rivets are visible. Many collectors prefer to have these original dimples since it shows that the front end was never wrecked and never altered to remove them. There are a couple of chips inside the door jams, that are only visible with the doors open. Both the front and rear chrome bumpers are in excellent condition. There is no pitting or other blemishes in the chrome. The black interior is also in excellent condition. It has new carpet, rear storage compartments, and center gauge console. The seats are in great shape with no rips or tears. One seat does have one small wear mark on the ribbed section. The dash is also in great shape with no cracks or other blemishes. The door panels are very nice with no cracks or tears. It has a new set B.F. Goodrich radial T/A tires. The rally wheels are in great shape with newer trim rings. All of the glass is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks in the windshield. It has several upgrades including an Edlebrock intake manifold and carburator, a Delco Remy HEI Distributor, and a set of headers. I have owned the car for 11 years and the following items never bothered me, so I never fixed them. The wipers arms have never been on the car, the heater does not work, the upgraded distributor does not have the tach drive, so the tachometer does not work. The clock has never worked (like most vettes). The speedometer also is not currently working. The speedometer shows 28,652 miles, which I assume has probably been around the block once. It has power windows. The drivers side needs help getting it started when rolling it down.
The car is currently registered as "non-op" in California. During the past several years, I have only driven the car around the block about once a month. Every time I drive it, it runs great. The title and registration are clear and in my name. The Hagerty Valuation Tool would rate this car as a #3 vehicle base priced at $17,600. It would subtract 8% for automatic transmission, add $200 for power windows and add $2500 for power steering. That would make it valued at $18,892.I have priced my corvette very reasonably at $17,900 OBO.I reserve the right to end this listing early since the vehicle is for sale locally and if purchased, the auction will be ended.
Please ask any questions that you may have.I will be more than happy to answer them. The vehicle has no warranties or guarantees of any kind expressed or implied. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit due through paypal within 24 hours of the auction end.
