Description for Chevrolet Other Pickups 1958
1958 Chevy Chevrolet Viking C60
NO RESERVE!
Here is a great old 1958 Chevy Viking C60. And it is going to sell to the highest bidder, regardless of price.
I picked this truck up from a farm in dry northwest Kansas. It was obviously loved and well taken care of over the years, although shortly before it was retired,to replace it with a larger truck, it did have a little fender bender. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but as you can see in the pics, it was not a major accident. Damage is mainly limited to left front fender, although the driver side door glass is missing, and door could use a little adjustment, it does open and shut fine.
This truck had been stored inside its entire life. It was originally the old Chevy turquoise/blue color, but the previous owner had it painted to what you see now. No expense was spared, as the interior was painted to match as well as the bed. It even has a nice roll over tarp. The engine is original 283, and it runs excellent. It has a slight stumble upon acceleration from a dried out accelerator pump, but is great overall. Carries good oil pressure, no excessive smoke, etc. The truck drives well, shifts through all gears fine, and has the two speed rear axle.
Most of the lights work, including turn signals. Oil pressure gauge, ampmeter, and fuel gauge all work. Temp gauge and speedo do not. The truck is equipped with power brakes, but they are squishy. It comes with a brand new master cylinder that I got from the previous owner. The hydraulic bed works, but cable was broken and removed, so it does need a new cable for the up/down on the bed, about 25 dollars to replace.
The body appears to be 99% rust free, with just a little rust starting to bubble on one of the cab corners. The floor was covered in shag carpet, and I removed it to show the solid condition of the floors.
Overall this is a very unique, eye catching truck. It would require very little work to be the best looking one in the local parade, or it would also make a great truck for a small working farm. It is still very usable, and has a lot of life left in it. I listed it as 76000 miles, as that is what the odometer shows, but true mileage is unknown.
Please check my feedback from other old trucks I've sold, and know you can feel confident bidding. My name is Cort, and you can call or text with any questions 620-786-5172. And I'm o.k. with truck sitting here awhile as long as it's paid for in a timely manner. Thank you and Good luck!
Please make sure you have funds available as this is being relisted due to a non paying bidder
