Description for Chevrolet 70 Series 1977
1977 Chevrolet 70 Series truck, Butterfly steel hood. Factory GM service manuals. Has a Flatbed, (no dump), 6V53N (non turbo) Detroit Diesel and screams right up to the original setting of 2925 RPM's, 5 Speed manual Spicer 5252a, and Eaton 2 speed axle. Recent oil change 40, coolant change Napa Fleet with SCA, new fuel level sensor, NOS fuel and coolant gauge included (not installed) new fuel filters, fuel tank drained and washed out. Oil bath air cleaner serviced, air compressor filter serviced. Has front and rear air brakes. Power steering, (belt slipping low parking speeds due to worn may can tighten it some.) Two speed axle shift motor repaired, new complete 2 speed axle harness from shifter to axle. Starts right up every time, no ether, hardly any "Detroit" roll no matter the temps. Very little smoke. Still needs belts and a good overall engine cleaning. Some rust in the cab but not too bad for an old rig that was not meant to last this long. Currently has a rotted low y pipe so will need exhaust work down below.. or route a stack. Great little project hauler. Cab is basically a low cab Brig/Bruin. Bed is 13 feet and its 13'6" from the end of frame to the back of the cab. GVWR 32,700 so not a light weight. Located near Charlotte NC and have the NC title ready and in my name.. I've been driving it around locally but Id recommendreplacing the belts before any seriousmiles. Tires are ok.. not new, not perfect, but no real issues. Top speed about 60 MPH and the two stroke gets there with 10 speeds in a hurry.Yes I have the doghouse. Has a bench seat and I am currently pulling the carpet out..Empty weight approx 9k lbs but have no idea on actual.Fun little truck.. wakes the neighbors.. and the dead..I can help arrange loading and pick up but require any payments to clear before I will release the truck. Buyer responsiblefor all shipping.Ask any questions, Ill do my best to answer them.
