Description for Chevrolet Other Pickups 1932
This is a 1932 Pickup Cab, fenders and hood. (Chevy). The running gear and frame are from a 1941, and the title papers I have are for a 1941 Chev Pickup. My uncle built this truck about 30 years ago, and he has since passed. The vehicle sat in a shed for all these years, so it is what you would call a "Barn Find". I purchased the vehicle from my cousin who told me that as far as he knew the truck had not been run in at least 18 years. The engine is a 216 ci, and has chrome covers and manifold. I remember my uncle telling me that the motor is completely rebuilt years ago. We got it running after I got it home and it runs awesome. It runs and drives nicely. The vehicle does not have 100 miles on the rebuilt motor or since it was built. The frame and drive train have been cleaned and painted black. It has juice breaks but after sitting this long they will need to be worked on. The exhaust system is new. The park brake does work. The cab has new wood, oak, and does not have any windows. There is not a floorboard in front ofseat, as seen in the pictures. There is no wiring hooked up to the ignition so we just hot wired to start and drive. It does have gauges, but the temp gauge and oil gauge are the only ones hooked up. My uncle built the box out of home saw oak and ash. I think the box really looks great.
I am listing this truck because I have about 6 projects going now and I am out of room. This truck could be on the road with not a lot of work. All the hard work is done. I believe I have enough paperwork for someone to get a title as a 1941. I started but I have not had time to run down what Minnesota wants. Minnesota is a difficult state to license rat rods or classic vehicles. My uncle purchased the vehicle on an auction in 1995, according to the paperwork and auction bill. I seen him drive it in a parade in 1997.
The vehicle will be sold as is and the buyer will be responsible for shipping and I will help load and it can be driven on to a trailer. I will have a reserve on the vehicle but the reserve is for less than what the cab would sell for at a swap meet.
