Description for Chevrolet Other Pickups 1959

I have a 1959 Chevy Apache short bed project vehicle that circumstances force me to sell. She's mounted to a 1972 C-10 so you immediately get the beefier frame and axle. independent suspension. power steering. and front disk brakes. To mount the cab I removed the old mounts and had new cab mounts created by a local company. All four were installed on to the frame using grade 8 bolts. The rear of the cab is bolted fast to that new mount using LMC's cab mount kit. The front of cab has yet to be secured to frame/mount while I mocked up front end. I have already mounted. to a smoothed firewall. a CCP brake booster. master cylinder and proportioning valve. which connects to the new brake pedal swing/dash support. The new pedal swing assembly did not account for the old hand brake so I installed a foot activated E brake from a Jeep Cherokee that is positioned vertically against the lower A pillar wall. The air vents in that area would be eliminated since this would be an A/C truck and thus not needed. The C10 brake cable has yet to be shortened but I include a kit to do this task. I had yet to decide how to bring cable into the cab- thru floor or toe board. but certainly not the firewall since I wanted it clean. There is no heater or wiper motor but its arms linkage is included. A new automatic transmission cross member mounted with grade 8 bolts supports the TH350 trans that is bolted up to the 1959 348 BIG BLOCK with 409 heads. The flex plate and torque converter. with bolts. are included. An original 4 barrel intake is included as well as original exhaust manifolds (studs cut off). water pump. dampener. and pulleys. Both motor and trans need to be rebuilt. The oil pans windage tray has been removed to bang out dents but can be reinstalled or an aftermarket purchased. All new OEM hard and rubber brake lines are installed. Lines from proportioning valve were not hooked up yet due to the task of clearancing the inner fender around steering box. They are OEM and will need to be cut back about an inch and reflared. I have fuel lines included but not plumbed in. Frame has been cleaned and painted with a generic black frame paint. Brakes have not been done yet since that should be the easiest and the very last thing to do. Parts are readily available at your local auto parts store. A chromed automatic no key GM steering column with shifter has a dark wood and chrome steering wheel installed on an aluminum column drop that has been mocked up with Borgeson chromed steering linkage. The Dolphin gauge cluster with new chromed surround is wired and ready to plug into a harness. A new electronic distributor and a 20 circuit wiring kit is included but not installed. I have a original bench seat (with no upholstery) a hood. the hood latch. hood emblem. side emblems. 2 headlight buckets. and both rear fenders which are in fair shape. There are brand new front fenders. inner fenders. bumper filler piece. an interior firewall insulation pad. interior door panel. grill support. latch panel. battery box. cowl grill. and chrome front bumper with brackets. New cab corners both inner and outer as well as running boards were welded in. A new lower section has been tacked in to the passenger side door. The dash has a new radio panel welded in due to previous owner hacking the hell out of it. The inner fenders have been shaped to fit new frame. A arms and steering box. The radiator core support which also supports the whole front end has been shaved to fit and resting on temporary supports. The previous owner cut frame the horns short so extensions for the front bumper/radiator core support need to be made and installed. I have the box tubing that may be used for it but never got around to it. The whole front clip is mocked up in place but not aligned. Other than the rear fenders I do not have bed metal or wood but they are readily available from numerous vendors. I was debating on purchasing new doors or just having the old ones worked on some more- there's a crease in drivers side that they say isn't a deal breaker. so I was going to wait to speak to the body shop guys for a decision. I was hoping to get the whole thing soda blasted. and having all the body work done soon but circumstances have changed for me. I'm sure I forgot to include some addition small items.
