Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1967

Most car guys know not to tangle with a first-gen Camaro on the street. With a wide variety of factory engine options, not to mention the world's biggest aftermarket, there's just no telling what they have hidden under the hood. Case in point is this awesome 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Tribute, which packs a fuel-injected 427 cubic inch big block and it's clear that someone has spent a ton of money making it both beautiful and shockingly fast. The Indigo Blue finish on this car is extremely well done. Dark colors don't hide many sins, but on this car, the metalwork is straight and professionally done, with great fit and panel gaps, which is something no paint can hide. There's a certain industrial purposefulness to the dark blue finish, and the effect is that you know you're looking at something pretty potent, but it doesn't shout about it. Up front, a cool white SS stripe has been wrapped around the nose, matching the insert on the custom Corvette-inspired hood, a slick twist on the original look that doesn't give anything away. There's no way of knowing whether this is a real SS, of course, but all the signs are there, including the grille, SS badges on the fenders, and the two-element taillights out back. The tail panel is blacked out, warning folks that there's a big block on board, and yes, those are "fuel injection" badges on the fenders, another warning that's only valuable if you're really paying attention. Inside, it's all business thanks to a black vinyl interior, which has been restored to stock specifications. Fresh covers on the seats, new color-matched carpets, and proper door panels were installed, and the result is upscale and very neatly done. There is no center console, because this car is all about performance over flash, and you'll be interested to learn that the T-handle shifter manages a 5-speed Tremec gearbox rather than the usual 4-speed Muncie. Factory gauges are joined by a column-mounted tach and a trio of aftermarket dials under the center stack, and that's as it should be. This is a factory A/C car and the system has been serviced so it works properly, and a newer AM/FM stereo head unit has been slotted into the dash. That lovely OEM steering wheel is the perfect touch to the cool interior, and the trunk is finished to factory specs with a correct mat and full-sized spare tire with matching cover.Don't let the chrome air cleaner fool you, that's a fuel-injected 427 cubic inch big block and most likely it makes considerably more than the advertised 425 horsepower. The block is Chevy Orange, along with the stock valve covers, but the aluminum intake is by Edelbrock, and it's topped by a clever EFI system for RIGHT NOW throttle response. The A/C system uses R134a refrigerant, so servicing will be easy in the future and there's an upgraded alternator to keep things happy. A new master cylinder drives an all-new braking system with four-wheel disc brakes, and ceramic-coated long-tube headers dump into a stainless steel exhaust system with an X-pipe and a transverse muffler. Rolling stock consists of fresh Cragar mags wearing 155/80/15 front and 295/50/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials, which complete the look. While not exactly a sleeper, this extremely potent Camaro doesn't need to advertise its muscle. An extremely well done resto-mod that needs nothing to drive and enjoy. Call today!
