Description for Chevrolet Blazer 1971
Classic & Rare (Rust Free) Dark Green K5 Blazer
This Blazer belonged to my father-in-law who bought it in 1977, restored it in 2003 and gifted this great classic Truck to my son. My father-in-law was a classic car enthusiast and always had it covered after having it painted, and engine rebuilt.
It has been sitting since 2009 when it had a mechanical issue (Gasket?) and was parked, and registered as Non-Operational with CA DMV. With only one other known owner it has a clean Title for a California/Rust-Free vehicle and prior to 2009 it was driven approximately 1,000 miles total on weekends only.
I have clear Title/Registration and currently registered as Non-Operational with California DMV. Also have 1969-1982 Chilton's Repair/Tune-up Guide for Chevy BLazer (See Photos)
My teenage son has decided that instead of putting additional time, and money into this classic car he would offer it for sale to someone that willappreciate this Rare/Classic Truck! and he will use the money to buy a newer truck.
For Chevrolet & Classic Car enthusiasts you know how rare it is to find this vehicle for sale, especially in this condition.
Exterior:
This classic and Rare 1971 K5 Blazer is Dark Green and was repainted in approximately 2003. It has a set of Pirrelli Tires with little tread wear. It comes with the original Hard Top/Removable with some fading (Black paint). Tail gate and Rear Window is operational and in great condition. The windows are all in great condition and operational. The body is in great condition with no visible rust and no scratches or dents. There is a fading area on hood as shown in photos but no rust.Interior:The floors look great with no rust and the original green paint. New owner may want to put new upholstery/carpet but not necessary. The utility bucket seats are in good condition overall, but new owner will likely want to recover. The Rear Bench has a tear as shown in photos. You can pick up a new set of OEM replacement seat covers for $249 for the buckets and $249 for the bench. The dashpad is in great condition and has always been covered so no tears. The stereo needs to be replaced. The door panels and armrests are in great condition.
Mechanical:
This truck does not currently start or run and buyer will need to pay for shipping/towing costs. It is registered as non-operational with CA DMV. Prior to being parked where it sits at my home in Sierra Foothills of CA it was driven from SF Bay Area. I was towing a boat at local lake and believe a gasket blew? Before that it would start right up and have no issues! All doors open, windows, and doors are sealed and lock without any issues. I am not a mechanic and this great classic vehicle is offered for sale as is with no warranty to someone that will truly enjoy this truck.
The offer price is based on offers I have received from local residents as the vehicle sits right now.
