This gorgeous '37 Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe just arrived recently and exceeded our expectations and I am confident it will do the same for the next lucky buyer...maybe you!!? I purchased this amazing Street Rod from a gentleman who has been around the collector car market for quite a while and has built and owned quite a few beautiful cars in his years. A good friend of his who also builds Hot Rods located this one back in the 90's in Kentucky. It had been tot rodded back in the 60's and lived a good life but was ready for its next restoration. He bought it and told his friend to take his time and make sure the body and paint were as nice as possible...what color would they choose??? Hot Rod Black of course!!!! Well, his friend took his time and years later in about 2006 the two of them finished the build. He built the car to drive and enjoy. It won its share of trophies and will still do that if the next owner decides to show it. He thoroughly enjoyed driving and showing this beautiful car putting about 3700 miles on it but in the past few years the car has sat more and more. Unfortunately, life sometimes gets in the way of one's hobby and a divorce and other things caused him to decide to thin his collection and so it was time to let this trophy winning build go to it's next lucky owner...maybe you!!!? I will do my best to provide you with enough large images, a video so you can hear it start up and running, and an honest description to help you decide if this beautiful Street Rod should be in your garage. I do have this car listed on my website and several others. If you want to scoop it up before the next car guy or gal does feel free to call me to discuss how we can make that happen. I am also a licensed transport broker and can assist with a great rate on Enclosed Transport anywhere in the country. I also welcome overseas buyers and can assist in getting the car to the port of your choice. Sit back and enjoy!!!
{You may notice a beautiful Red 1937 Ford 5 WindowCoupein some of the pics which is also currently available}
As mentioned this '37 Chevy 5 window Coupe underwent a professional restoration that spanned several years. It was not a rush job and was done by folks who have built many award winning Hot Rods over the years. It was built to keep, not to sell which means quality was the key ingredient to the build. I believe anyone who sees this beauty in person will see that the folks who did the restoration hit their mark and delivered a top quality car. This is a Steel Bodied original 1937 Chevrolet 5 window Coupe that they decided to use high quality fiberglass fenders, running board and trunk lid to achieve a laser straight, great fitting body in the end. Although the paint is over 10 years old you would think it was done within the past few months as it shine like new and is near flawless. The only flaws are extremely minor and include some very tiny rock chips on the front fenders and a few tiny scratches on the corner of the trunk lid that have been touched up and are barely visible. The aftermarket grille looks awesome! A few custom touches on the body like suicide shaved doors with poppers, frenched in power antennae, custom fuel filler door with inside release, and a subtle flame pinstripe done by a top notch pinstripe artist that runs along the sides and really looks great in person. Original steel engine covers function beautifully. The overall fit and finish is top notch and this baby will win al the trophies the trunk can hold if that is what you enjoy. I think the photo tour of the body below will show you what you need to see. It was overcast so the pics do not show you just how glossy and deep the black paint is but I think you will get an idea:

Complimenting the gorgeous black exterior of this '37 Chevy is an equally impressive tan custom interior that is super comfortable and functional. The custom bench seat is from Tea's who builds some of the best custom Hot Rod seats in the industry. It has the fold down arm rest that give it the look of bucket seats. High quality from top to bottom including custom door panels, great rear deck with speakers built in, matching headliner and carpeting. Everything is in close to new condition!!! You will notice in the front kick panels a lever on each side which is for the bear claw latch to provide extra security on the suicide doors so that they never fly open while driving. A beeping noise will be heard until the driver engages these latches to assure there are not any unfortunate and costly incidents. The dash is a combination of original and modern updates with some great custom gauges and a functional clock. Nice am/fm/cd stereo is neatly mounted under the dash.Vintage Air conditioning vents and controls are neatly installed in the dash and the A/c blows nice and cold and this car also has functional heat. Upgraded electric motor for wipers and a functioning e-brake pedal. Power windows work great. Drivers of all sizes will be comfy thanks to the GM tilt column. Take a look inside:

You have to love the way the original hoods on these 1937 5 Window Coupes look when they are open! You will also love what is under the hood of this one! A nicely built Chevrolet 350 V8 pushing out about 300hp with Polished Edelbrock Performer intake and 4bbl Carb.feeding the fuel and a set of ceramic headers breathing out a great sounding dual exhaust with Flow masters! Beautiful set of milled valve covers and matching air cleaner. Spark plug wires neatly run through custom polished holders.Polished A/C compressor and alternator. Power is transferred through the Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission from TCI that shifts smoothly. It was built to drive and the Mustang II front end and front and rear sway bars from Chassis Engineering make this '37 Hot Rod handle beautifully.Front disc brakes make stopping easy and this Hot Rod tracks and stops straight and is quite easy to drive. Nova 10 bolt rear end with highway friendly gears. Really nice and tight driving Hot Rod without the squeaks and rattles you usually find on lesser builds. Great classic stance with Air shocks in the rear to adjust the height if desired. Great set of rubber fatter in the rear mounted on a beautiful set of polished American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. Make sure you listen to it running in the video below!!!
The undercarriage is very clean and neat. You could definitely put mirrors under it at the shows but it is not a trailer queen so minor signs of normal road grime may be present. The trunk was neatly finished to match the interior and has tons of room! Battery is mounted in the trunk and a custom fitted cover will be included. I have a shoebox full of all the receipts and some pics during the build. The list goes on and on but I think you get the picture by now.
