Description for Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1970
This is a NUMBERS MATCHING 1970 Monte Carlo with a 4-bolt main, 350ci, 300 HP, RPO L48 engine.The rebuilt engine has about 69,000 miles on it.The vehicle looks better in the pictures than it actually is. The vehicle will need rust remediation, body work, and paint. The interior will need to be restored with the exception of the carpet and rear seat which were replaced a few years back. The vinyl top needs to be replaced. There is documentation all the way back to the original owner. This vehicle has been sitting for the last five years but, it starts up and runs well.
This is a 47 year old vehicle with normal wear and tear for its age. EXTERIOR: There is rust on the front of the hood, lower driver's fender, trunk lid, and passenger door jam.The vinyl top is torn and needs to be replaced.The car needs body work and repainting. INTERIOR: The headliner stitching is rotted out. The front seat is worn with 4-5 small tears. The back seat was recovered a few years back and it good condition. The rest of the interior is worn and in need of reconditioning. The vehicle is an excellent restoration candidate. MECHANICAL: The original engine was rebuilt to factory specs with the exception of the pistons bored +.030 due to excessive wear of the original pistons. Transmission and rear end are solid and have had regular fluid changes. The vehicle runs and was a reliable daily driver for many years before being parked. SUSPENSION: The suspension was rebuilt several years ago but needs the passenger control arm bushings replaced.
