Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1963

1963 Corvette two top roadster, NCRS folks avert your gaze, this hot rod is about as far from original as possible. Definitely not a trailer queen only meant to be waxed and gazed upon from a lawn chair this car is meant to be driven and driven fast. My best guess is that the mods you see were done in the early 70s' and that at one point in history it may have been a drag car based on the multiple and very well done frame supports on both sides along with various other strengthening supports added to the rear frame. Some paperwork suggests a build in CA and a move to TX in about 2000. The suspension and brake/steering appears to be late 60s'/ early 70s' big block with the front spindles being intended for the large bearing front hubs. Rear axles are also Big block, gear is a 3.55 and e-brake is modified 67 and it works well. One added item of interest is that the frame appears to be zinc plated. The heart of this vette comes from Houston Engine and Balancing in TX, look them up, these folks are no joke with a list of class winners to fill a phone book. This engine according to the stacks of dyno sheets from 5/2000 is a 454 block .030 over with a 427 steel crank, Edelbrock 6047 heads, Holley DP, MSD ignition with tach drive, Hooker comp headers and powdercoated exhaust with Hooker mufflers. As mentioned, multiple dyno sheets show close to 500HP and of course, being a 427 crank this 434 cu.in. bear is internally balanced. Flywheel and Centerforce clutch all balanced of course is followed by a close ratio Muncie with Hurst shifter. Centerline wheels are used with recent BFG tires. Original functioning Corvette tach and speedo are surrounded by a multitude of SW gauges. Paint is recent and is driver quality, interior is fair with tired rugs and the sift top is new. More recent upgrades include but not limited to four wheel stainless brakes with new master, ceramic pads and lines, slotted and drilled rotors, rear strut bars, electric antenna, AN fuel lines from shut off to carb, Interstate battery with shut-off, Be-Cool aluminum radiator, dual electric fans individually controllable by thermostat, fresh antifreeze, oil and filter along with brake fluid flush and DOT4 fluid. Most electrical items function as intended but in the interest of being upfront much of the wiring is old and could use attention. I would rewire the car using one of the many available harnesses today meant for hot rods as this thing is as much a hot rod as a Corvette. This fun car starts, runs, and stops very well and will set you back in the seat like no other 63 and the sound, Wow, this 434 revs like a small block. Make no mistake, this car is a handful but more fun than a barrel of monkeys. My guess is that the car has about 3000 miles on the driveline since 2000 as I have owned it twice in the last fifteen years. As always, no test pilots. Title is in my name and is a clear NYS transferable registration/title. No trades invited on this one unless you have a chopped and channeled deuce 3 window in your basement. Only two cars left in the collection and this is one, we need no more. Thanks
