Description for Chevrolet C-10 1968
This is 1968 Chevrolet C10 SWB short box step side pickup for sale. Fresh rebuild on a solid southern Texas truck. It is a barn find woken up from a long nap. Now a real subtle street custom with a little mild patina preserved. Total body off chassis and drivetrain upgrade. 5 / 7" suspension drop installed complete with C-Notched frame rails, new trailing arms, Upper & Lower control arms, new modular front spindles, all new springs, shock relocations, Front and rear sway bars, new panhard bar relocation, new trans. mount & rear shock mount cross members,12" power disc brakes front & rear with new booster & Master cylinder, new stainless brake lines & magna flow exhaust, LMC fuel tank relocation. Completely blasted & powder coated frame & core support. motor is a .30 over 350 with mild performance cam and stock cylinder heads. Starts good, runs good, sounds good. rebuilt TH350 transmission and new drive shaft. Runs with the original 12 bolt open rear-end, stock gearing (ratio unknown). New power steering box & pump. New steering column. New Aluminum radiator & electric Fan setup. Runs cool. New battery & re-built starter. new front & rear wiring harnesses, new windshield, new custom leather-like seats, center console & moulded carpeting with reproduction GM rubber floor mats. New weatherstripping (windshield, door seals, rear glass only) 16" & 17" steel wheels with suburban caps & new Pirelli radial tires. The body is in old paint. The truck had an econo scuff and spray re-paint job of the original color many years back. It is not new paint. ithas flaws, scratches, chips, dings and small dents and is not shinylike new. You could shine it up with a buffer if desired. The paint is in good shape meaning it isn't peeling off or looking like its going to surface rust through large areas. the old paint just has a nice comfortable worn-in look to it like your favorite pair of Denim jeans. You could very easily upgrade this truck to a show quality paint job if you wanted. There was some corrosion at the kick panel to floor seam on the passenger side, caused by a suspected window or core leak. its been patched up. the entire underside of cab and inside of fenders & wheel houses have been power washed and nicely under coated while off the truck. They are clean and solid. The interior of the cab and dash have been repainted. The front bumper is old and the rear is new. This truck is super comfortable. It really is a true mild street performance pro-touring truck. If you are familiar with how original C10's go down the road, the handling and feel of this truck makes a real impression. Its a breeze for anyone to jump in this thing and take it anywhere. So if you are looking for a nice driver C10 for cruising around and tinkering with or just a cool little shop truck, this is a great option for you. Please no trade offers, interested buyers should contact me forquestions and additional photo requests. It is sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied.
