Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1972
A true numbers matching 1972 Chevelle SS - not a clone. Included is it's original build sheet. This car has been sitting in a garage in New Mexico for the past 11 years free from harsh exterior weather. It is in very good condition but far from show quality. It's still in its original state and needs someone to take it to the next level.

Very lightly driven, it has had less than 5000 miles put on in the past 11 years. It runs great currently as is.
In 2009, the motor was pulled from the car, stripped and completely cleaned and rebuilt. The engine numbers were photographed and compared to the build sheet to confirm matching. Local auto mechanic consensus is the motor is the original one to the car. The cylinder head was rebuilt also. A MSD electronic drop-in distributor was installed. The front end was also disassembled and rebuilt with correct NOS parts with new inner front fender wells, new rotors, and power coated control arms. A total front suspension rebuild was done to include upper and lower ball joints, bushing, tie rod ends, and center link. The dash panel (including dash pad) was replaced (original one can be sent with the car to the new owner) and circuit board, light bulbs, and wiring corrected and replaced. The transmission was disassembled and rebuilt. It is the correct but unknown if it is the original. The exhaust was completely removed and replaced. It rumbles nice and smooth without being overbearing. It has power steering, power front disc brakes, heating, wipers, horn, AM Delco radio, door buzzer, and many other attributes. It has some non-working parts such as cruise control, air conditioning, clock, and windshield wiper fluid. The underside does have rust proofing but it has failed in places and the floor boards need to be replaced. The interior, beyond the dash, was cleaned and minor repairs completed but a restoration was not attempted.

A lot of care was taken to replace parts with their correct replacements. A lot of the original parts that were removed can go with the car if you want them.

This Chevelle is a solid and cool customer, it will look great around you.
