Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1956

1956 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2 door hardtop project

I updated my timeline below, after I found a few receipts.

A complete intact original car was bought to rebuild in (2006 - incorrect) early 2009.Proceeded with the work for a couple of years and then the car got moved to inside storage, where it has been on idle for the last (nine or ten - incorrect) six or so years. I am getting too old to finish this project

Chassis is done.

The chassis was disassembled, sandblast, and totally built before gloss black powder coating.

Master Power disc brakes in front

Ford 9" custom rear housing with new Moser axles and drum brakes

Power steering conversion

Stainless steel brake lines

New, never fired professionally built 350 Chevy small block

All new aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, alternator, and more

New, out-of-the-box Phoenix built 700R4 transmission

Balanced driveshaft installed

Headers and super quiet exhaust system is complete

Exhaust system is complete past rear bumper and in Jet-hot coating

Battery cables to starter and ground are complete

Fuel line through frame is complete

The body has been reworked extensively and is near complete

No rust or rusted panels remain in the vehicle

The body is solid and straight

Floor pans are new and solid

Extra firewall holes were filled

Spare tire well in the trunk was removed

Doors and deck lid are solid

Gas tank is clean, undercoated, and misplaced as of Oct 16.

Front inner fenders are mint and in gloss black powder coat

A two tone color coat was applied, so the car would not be stored in primer.

Underside is undercoated

The original hood has not been touched and is in good shape.

All of the original chrome was removed and saved

Other than front and rear windows, all glass and frames are available.

Interior related

Original seats are included.

Original door panels are included.

Heater and related parts are restored and powder coated

Brake pedal, column support, wiper motor, door latches, window regulators, sun visors, etc. are all included.

Many interior items in powder coat ready for reassembly

Some items are not included, because they weren't worthy of restoration.

Front fenders, grill, parking lights, bumpers

The photos on eBay are from when the work on the car was active. It is now and has been in weatherproof storage so there is some dust and dirt accumulation. I am sure an hour with a power wash would restore the appearance of most to what is shown here.

I did pull the car and all the parts that will come with it from storage today, Oct 16. Cleaned everything and took more pics. I can email them a few at a time due to file size to interested parties. If that is to happen, I need the interested party's email. You would need to call me.

So you know, the car is also being advertised locally and will be removed from eBay, if and when a deal is reached with a local party.

Car comes with a clean Michigan title. Some additional pictures are available to an interested buyer.
