Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1962
1962 Chevrolet Belair Bubbletop. The age old question; the debate between the 1961 and 1962 Chevrolet Belair Bubbletop. Each of them has their followers. But the fact is the 1962 is much harder to find and simply a more rare car. In my opinion. the 62 style is much more desirable with the clean lines and curves in all the right places. This 1962 has been lowered; giving it a very nice stance. It has been restored several years ago ( not sure when ). I have owned the vehicle for 10 years and it was restored when I purchased it. It has been my daily driver and typical fun car on nice weather days! Always stored inside and never driven in the winter or the rain. The engine is a fresh 305 cu. in with 4 barrel carburetor linked to a newly rebuilt 350 turbo tranny. The engine and transmission were done this year. The underside of the car is dirty. the car is a driver. not a show car. However. the underside is a very solid car. No worries there. I have installed an original power steering system off a 1962 Impala this year. The paint is a deep purple/blue depending on how the sunlight is hitting it. The side pipes and spotlights are for show only and are not operational. As for the bad. there is a small rock chip in the windshield ( not cracked ). In some places there is MINOR bubbling in the paint. Nothing that takes away from the car. It is very minor. but I feel it needs to be mentioned. The trim on the hood is loose. The engine compartment needs to be cleaned and detailed if you so desire. The interior really should be cleaned and shampooed. However. it is in good shape. I have had alot of classic cars. and this one always gets the looks and the "thumbs up" wherever I take it. It is simply a BLAST to drive!! The ONLY reason I am selling this car is to finance another project. I hate to let it go. but its time to move on to another DREAM CAR!!! These cars on not offered that often in this condition. They are capable of bringing 80K plus when done with the best of the best!! I have done my best to describe this car as accurately as possible.
