Description for Chevrolet Other Pickups 1972
Up for auction is my 1972 c/30 ramp truck. I bought this truck back in 2003 from a dealer in Tennessee. I rented a car and drove to TN from NJ. I put the rental car on the ramp truck and drove back to NJ non stop all the way home. This has been a great truck for me and I have no doubt it will be a great truck for the next owner. The only reason I'm selling it is that I purchased a really nice aluminum trailer and just use that more frequently. I put about 5000 miles on it in the last 14 years and she never missed a beat. The truck has a small block motor and a 4 speed transmission with the granny first gear. It runs great and has had yearly oil changes whether it was used a lot or not. It has a custom autosound stereo and kick panel speakers. The heater controls need to be replaced. As you can see in the pictures the clear coat is peeling on the whole truck as well as some paint on the bed. There is rust in the rockers, lower fenders and the lower parts of the ramp bed. The head and tail lights work but some bulbs need replaced on the fenders, cab roof and the bed sides. The truck has a superwinch x9 that has been pulling slowly the last few times I used it. I think the battery cables need to be cleaned up or replaced but the winch could need to be rebuilt. The pull out ramps are a little bent from pulling heavy loads up but work fine and are stored under the bed. The oil and temp gauges don't work and the odometer reads 18896. The title is clear and the mileage is exempt on it. The door locks are stuck in the open position, I have not locked the truck in the 14 years I have owned it so I believe they are just stuck. I do have the door keys and they will work if the lock mechanism is freed up or replaced. I am missing one wheel simulator but I do have a spare wheel and tire. I have the original owners manual, protecto plate/warranty policy and the incomplete vehicle document that came with cab and chassis vehicles. I think I have listed everything and along with the pictures you should get a good idea of what you are getting. Please have funds in place and permission from whoever you need it from before bidding. Thanks
