Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1989
Up for Auction is my 1989 Chevrolet Camaro G92 (dual cat provisions and 3.45 Posi rear) with the 305 TPI engine (230 HP/ 300 Ft. Lb. TQ) and 5 speed manual transmission. Desirable black on black. It has just under 67k original miles. Exterior and interior are in excellent condition. Has an upgraded McLeod/B&M clutch, Hurst shifter, Koni Red adjustable struts, welded sub-frame connectors, Magnaflow exhaust, upgraded sound system, and a 75HP Zex dry shot nitrous kit. Tires are new, less than 1k on BFG G-Force Sport Comp 2. Very clean stock look. Hood ornaments and ground effects are of the 91-92 variety. For the purist, I will include the original style ground effects with the sale of the vehicle. So you would just need to add the decals and hood louvers to give it a more original look(I am just partial to the later style ornaments/ground effects). I have owned since 2005 and I am not a motivated seller. Since I have had the vehicle, it has been garage kept. Within the past year, I have been doing more work out of my garage and it has become a bit of an inconvenience to have. When I do have it outside, it is under a cover. If I had a two car garage, I probably wouldn't be listing it. I have come to the conclusion that if I had the right offer, I would sell it. It is an absolute blast to drive, handles great, and runs great. None of your typical Iroc stuff: NO cracked dash, NO Grant steering wheel, NO sagging door hinges, NO smoke on start-up, NO ripped driver seat, Interior NOT rattling itself apart. This car is driven with care and maintained meticulously. In the 1989 model year, there were only about 1400 G92 cars produced. Novelty detail: this car is also equipped with a factory engine block heater (no, I never plugged it in and probably never will, but it is there). What can be improved? The wheels are in decent shape for their age, but I will probably have them refinished if I keep the car. Also, the nose is beginning to show some signs of flexing in the paint, so I would recommend a sand and respray (I am picky). It is only noticeable from certain angles/light though.
