Beautiful Beast
CLASSIC 1957 Chevy Stakebed Truck C6500 Red
MUST SELL FAST... So you get it for Only $9500. or best offer... plus DMV tag fees Probably around 800-900. Been in my driveway. I've been using the bed for Storage.
Was using for vintage market once a month about 3 miles from my home at pierce college. I don't do that anymore and it's too big to be sitting in my yard as well as a shame to not have it somewhere where its really appreciated an being used.
We want someone who really loves it and would love to take it away and give it a little love and a great home. We were constantly surrounded by people commenting and admiring the truck. Definate crowd pleaser. Especially at the vintage market. If you don't want to be stared at constantly and approached by people to talk about this truck, don't buy it.
It's so practical and helpful to have if you have large loads of stuff to move or do flea markets. .....or like I've been told, some people may even want to put there show car on it. A couple of years ago I had a broker offer me 15000. for it and I swore I'd never sell. I raised it to $20,000 and he was still interested. However, at that time it was priceless to me. I wish I knew where he is now. lol. I guess his client got another. I'ts all about the timing I suppose. Oh well.
What is has...
6 cylinder, manual stick of course, all re-upholstered and re-painted in the 90's, new tires and brakes. ( I replaced them a few years ago when I bought it, calipers too... the engine is amazing and looks and runs great and so does the transmission. I can let it sit forever and it starts up no problem and runs great. I went to ventura swapmeet a couple of times with it too. I added a crane to the rear of the bed that I used to lift 5 ton ac units and large outboard motors (see picture) and all kinds of stuff. The stakebed was added in the 90's and I was the first to put a load on it.
What it needs...
Windshield has a crack, the side windows and inside door panels weren't put in when restored. I have a large container full of window parts and other misc parts to go with it as well as the door panels waiting to be painted and installed. So you'll get all the extra parts too.
Super sad to see it go. I know I'll never get another one like this and especially in this condition, But due to current circumstances I have to sell. Great opportunity for anyone who has been in the market for one of these. So little to do. I drove it as it is and had a lot of fun with it.
Go get some cash, come by and take it away. You'll be very happy with it, I'm sure.
