Description for Chevrolet Other 1962

The PERFECT Winter Project!
A 1962 Chevy II garaged for the last 45 years waiting for a full restoration!

Straight, clean, strong body with only a small amount of surface rust. Good interior, nice dash and panels, even the headliner is still good. Engine is the original 153 cu. in. 4-cylinder "Super-Thrift" (dismantled with all parts included). Transmission is the original 3-speed manual. The column shift was removed at one point and a floor shifter was used for some time. All original parts are included, even the original hubcaps.

This is an EXCELLENT candidate for a restoration rod or even a full back-to-original period piece. Weighing in at only 2,500 pounds it is also has great potential as a crate-motor drag racer from that bygone era of "Funny Cars".
"The Deuce" has been in our family for 54 years and now it needs to go to someone who will do right by it. Grab it quick before someone else finds it, and by spring you could be hitting the car show circuit with that cool Chevy II you always wanted to build!

Update: November 27th - New Photos Added!
I was able to get to the garage and take more photos of the undercarriage and engine compartment. I hope you can now see how well-preserved this car really is. It's been a while since I was able to look underneath and the condition of the body is really very good. The original undercoating has done its job and there is almost no rust whatsoever on most of the underside sheetmetal. There is rust on suspension and drivetrain parts, but it is not structural. The suspension mounting points and structural mounts inside the engine compartment are also solid and strong. It is really a "survivor" from a physical standpoint, and could be restored to its original state without any fabrication.
I was only able to add 24 photos total, so if there is anything else you want to see contact me and I might have a photo of that area. The passenger side of the car is difficult to get to the way it is parked in the garage, so I only have the two quarter shots of that side, but it is essentially the same condition as the driver's side.
