1951 Chevy 1/2 ton-5 WindowDeluxe Cab Pickup This is a neat. old dependable truck. I purchased it from a family who got transferred from the midwest to the eastcoast and could not take it with them. The truck had been in the family for many. many years. and and restored several years back. I have rebuilt the carb. fixed the brakes. set the timing and made it dependable to operate. This is a cool old truck to drive around town. have morning coffee with friends or attend cruise nights. It is not a 'show truck'. Specifications:ENGINE: Original 6cyl. 216. Runs strong. starts easy. good compression. Recently installed new points. lugs. and rebuilt the carburetor. Press down on the accelerator once. pull the choke. and she fires right up!TRANSMISSION: Original 3 speed on the column. Works well. BODY AND SHEETMETAL: Really straight as shown in the pictures. No dents. Most of these old trucks wereused like tools and beat up badly. Floors and cab corners are solid but have been filled with metal and repaired. Frame is solid and not heavily pitted like others I've seen. RARE original and complete spare tire carrier is still there!INTERIOR: Newer seat cover. headliner and door panel covers. ELECTRICAL: Horn. headlights. tail lights. parking lights. brake lights. all work well. TIRES: These are the proper old tires that appear to have barely been used. They are older however and have some weather checking on the sides. As stated above this is a neat old dependable driver. Not a show truck by any means. but one you can drive and enjoy.
