Description for Chevrolet K20 Panel 1968

How's this for a rare find, an original survivor 1968 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4x4 Panel truck. GM only made 68, 3/4 ton 4x4 Panel trucks in 1968. This truck has 33k original miles on it. It's a retired fire department truck. In the right light you can still read "American Falls rural fire district" on the sides and the rear doors.
It has a 307 V8 with a 4 speed. It has 4:57 gears. It has the original oil bath air cleaner. The engine will smoke a little when cold. It engine still has all the original GM hoses. The clutch is good and the truck runs, drives, and stops great. It has a new stock single exhaust system. It has brand new, correct 7.50 x 16 bias ply mud tires.
The truck has about 1/2 of the original paint. Both side panels were repainted a long time ago. I polished up the old paint and it turned out great. This has not been cleared over. The left front fender has a few dents in it. The sides do have several ding for the inside out from the fire department hauling their equipment, And I'm not so sure that these panel sides were very strait from the factory. It has new bumpers. The wheels were sand blasted front and back, and the wheels, grill, and bumpers were painted in the original argent silver color. The only rust that the truck has is on the lower rear corners of the rear quarters. That is it. No rust in the floors, inner or outer rockers, front clip, doors, or cab supports. I have many more pics of all these areas I can send.
The interior of the truck is very nice. The dash pad is excellent. It still has the original rubber floor mat. The drivers seat had a few tears, so I did have both seats recovered in correct NOS seat material. They match perfect to the original covers. The rear wood floor is in great condition.
This it a great, 50 year old survivor truck. Everything works, and it's ready to enjoy.
Feel free to call me for more info. I can send pictures of anything you would like to see. 816-305-6326Thanks
