Description for Chevrolet C-10 1963
For Sale: 1963 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck
Up for sale is my kustom-styled 1963 Chevy C10 pickup truck that I call Bravado. That's an old Spanish word that translates to mean "brave." This old shop truck is brave enough to take on all comers with its 350 small block, rated at 390 horsepower, its Monster Transmission 700R4 with shift kit, and its 3.73 positraction rear end. It also stops quickly with its CPP four-wheel disc brakes at all four tires.
However, this truck loves to go slow and low since it's equipped with an expensive Accuair air bag suspension system with a dash-mounted controller. It tucks big Mobsteel 18x8 Steelies under the fender wells and completely lays frame on the ground when parked. The suspension has all the right stuff like Porterbuilt and Chassisworks components. The Steelies are powder coated gloss black and sport white wall tires.
This truck has many custom touches like a smoothed tailgate, Caddy tail lights, and a bullet grille. This body style is the epitome of cool and is known as the "knee-knocker" cab because of the way the wraparound windshield affects the door opening. I added a 1960 cat eye/bull nose hood which are getting hard to find. I installed chrome bullets to the grille which make it look mean and tuff. This pickup started life as a stepside V6 out of Sonora, CA but I swapped in a fleetside bed from a farm truck and completely remade the truck from the ground up.
The interior bench seat has new custom upholstery with gold Zodiac vinyl and cloth inserts for comfort. The truck has an electronic emergency brake system called an eStopp with a hidden button under the dash. It also has a power kill switch located under the bench seat to completely disable the battery and vehicle power system. Both accessories function as anti-theft devices. There is a modern vintage-style sound system installed, but it is not currently hooked up. The cab stays nice and cool on hot summer days with a Southern Rods & Parts vintage-style under dash air conditioning unit. All exterior lights, interior lights, and electrical features (wipers, courtesy lights, etc.) function as they should.
This truck was built over two years and finished this year in 2017 after a frame-off restoration with everything new or rebuilt except paint and bodywork. The entire frame and suspension components are powder coated in the color gold (see pics). It currently has less than 2000 miles on it after the restoration. I took many, many pictures of its build process, and I have a ton of receipts. This truck was professionally built by two shops here in Sacramento, CA: approximately 25% was first completed at KG Kustoms, and the rest was finished by Rods R Us. It is concurrently for sale locally as well as online, and comes with no warranty stated or implied. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due upon purchase. Full payment is due within 10 business days (14 calendar days), and the vehicle will not be released until full payment has been received. I will accept a cashier's check or PayPal (if you pay the PayPal fees). You will have to arrange shipping from my ZIP of 95628, but I can assist with loading. Current and clean registration in my name. I am a private seller. As a seller, I want to provide a smooth buying experience so please let me know if you have any questions. I am selling it because I have too many cars and need to downsize. I have done my best to accurately describe my 1963 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck.

Features: new Accuair suspension, vintage gun rack (includes two toy rifles), 1960 cat eye/bull nose hood.
Pros: cool-ass, unique patina truck that gets attention wherever you go.
Cons: limited turning radius with those big wheels, has some rattles while driving, needs bodywork and paint if the patina look is not appealing to you, no interior carpet.
Keywords: truck, pickup, lowered, slammed, low rider, air bags, custom, kustom, traditional, hot rod, not a rat rod, Porterbuilt, Accuair, CPP, patina, stepside.
Recommendations: I have had good success with uShip for shipping vehicles across the country, and I have personally used JJ Best Banc to finance several hot rods. I was going to do some vintage door art and pinstriping on this truck which I think would look fantastic! My ultimate goal was to paint it two-tone with off white and metallic fawn beige (factory colors).
