Description for Chevrolet C-10 1968
There is a lot to like in this stunning '68 C10 with its smooth, merlot red color, perfect stance and serious attention to detail. So if you've been searching for a Chevy pickup with lots of eye candy, this may be the one.
The first thing you'll notice about this PROFESSIONALLY built truck is it's striking appearance. The body modifications originated from Chip Foose. If you know his work, it is the subtle details that make the difference in his custom work. The roof drip rails have been shaved; the front bumper has been tucked closer to the body; a fowl induction hood was installed for a meaner look; the gas tank was moved between the frame rails with a chrome filler cap located in the bed; the rear tailgate was modified with an inside latch leaving a smooth rear tailgate; the rear wheels were widened to accept the meaty 20" Foose tires/wheels;a custom rear roll pan compliments the back of the truck; the bulky original side mirrors with smaller chrome versions; the front/rear air bag system allows the stance to be adjusted; reliefs were cut into the front corners of the cab bed for that custom look.... and more.
A modern clearcoat/ basecoat professional paint job was applied giving the color a beautiful, deep appearance. A layer of ceramic aircraft coating was applied to the paint making the color dance. This truck has won a few awards just for its paint! A drop dead gorgeous hickory wooden bed really compliments the paint. With the mirror like chrome trim and Foose wheels creates a stunning appearance. No one mistakes this truck as an original... it is custom through and through.
The exterior merlot color compliments the beige, leather custom bucket seats, door panels and headliner. The merging of classic and modern feelings continues as you look across the dash with a matt beige finish, custom arm rests, center console work built in speakers, tilt column with wooden steering wheel, new tinted glass and carpeting, and beautiful classic gauge package. You can ride down the road in comfort with a new Vintage heat/air conditioning system.
Pop the hood and you be starring down on a professionally rebuilt 350. You'll notice lots of care was taken to hide the wires giving the engine bay a very clean look. Upgrades include an Edlebrock intake, Holley 650 carb, Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, ceramic coated headers, new plug wires with an electronic distributor and more.
The stout turbo 350 tranny shifts without hesitation the moment your foot hits the throttle. The 4 way Baer disc brakes slows this truck down in a hurry.
Since the truck sits low, the frame and undercarriage have been painted in flat black. In fact it is very difficult to see underneath the truck without it being on a lift.
This is one of those rare, professionally, well -built pickups where no short cuts were taken. If you are looking for an outstanding C10 and want to be sure you are not buying a piece of junk, I welcome your calls and/ or personal visits. In fact I'll go 1 Step further. If you buy the truck and have it shipped, I'll give your money back, if it is not as described above. You can examine all you want, start it, but once it comes off the trailer, it is yours. However, if you decide you don't want it, you'll pay to ship it back. I don't how I cab any fairer!
