Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1968
Exterior Color: Rally Red Interior: Red Vinyl Engine: 327 V8 Transmission:Â M21 4 Speed Miles: 51315 Actual This unique 1968 Corvette is an outstanding Corvette. It is a factory red/red convertible with is numbers matching original engine block. The ZL-1 body kit is a GM kit that was dealer installed back in the day. This car has a good deal of documentation including the protecto plate, owners manual, NCRS dealer shipping report, owner history, restoration receipts, and pictures. This car received a frame on restoration. The original 327 was rebuilt and improved with an Edelbrock intake & cam, Holley 1850 Carb, 993 Cylinder heads with roller rockers, and Hedman headers. The transmission and differential were opened up, inspected, and resealed. The trailing arms were rebuilt,, The brake system was overhauled and new stainless steal lined calipers were installed. The vacuum system was completely refurbished. The radiator and fuel tank were also refurbished. The front suspension was rebuilt including upper and lower control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, shocks, and all insulators and seals were replaced. The rear suspension was restored with a TRW fiberglass leaf spring, new bushings, shocks, mounting plate and retainers. The steering system was rebuilt with a new pitman arm, tie rod, relay rod, and steering arm. This Corvette does have its original M21 4 Speed and the original 3.36 Posi Hypoid. The body was stripped to bare fiberglass. There were no damaged body panels. We have pictures of the stripped body. The panel seams were ground out and new panel adhesive was applied. A modern 2 stage paint and clear coat were used and a White VIP stripe was painted down the center of the C3. The interior was refurbished with new door panels, seat covers, and carpeting. A smaller diameter steering wheel was also installed. You can see this very nice 1968 in our showroom or call 714-215-9518 or Mark @ 714-215-9518 Chris @ 714-215-9518
