Description for Chevrolet C-10 1965
This is a real 1965 Chevrolet K10 4X4 short bed stepside. Very rare find, and one of only 1,127 K10 SWB stepside trucks made in 1965 from what I can find in research, and that includes a few that were built for export. It has not been driven in many years, and before I got it someone robbed some parts off it. The truck will need a complete restoration, and is in very rough shape, but it is rare enough that it is worth fixing. This is not a truck that a you can tinker with a start driving. It needs a lot of work.
The truck as a small block V8 sitting in it that appears to likely be an early 70's 350. No idea of condition, but I am sure that at best it is a core only. The truck has no transmission or transfer case, and both driveshafts are missing. It also has a newer disc brake, Dana 44 front end, but the inspection plate is off so I am assuming it had problems.
In addition to the truck, I also have some other drive train parts that will be included in the sale, but not pictured. This includes a granny 4 speed trans with bell housing, transfer case, Dana 44 front and 12 bolt rear from a 1972 GMC Jimmy that I parted out. All these parts are included but will have to be shipped separately or picked up.
The cab needs rockers and some floor work, but is really not all that bad considering. The doors and front fenders are junk. Bedsides look pretty decent, but the rear fenders are pretty well shot. The aftermarket truck parts houses have most all the sheet metal required for this truck. Also, note the the fabricated steel bumpers on the truck appear to be welded to the sides of the frame rails, and will require some work to remove and clean up the frame to remove the welds.
This truck does not have a title, as GA doesn't require on anything this old and will not reissue a title if one was missing on non-titled vehicles. I am selling it on a bill of sale only. I have sold numerous other old cars and trucks with no titles on here over the years and to other states. It has never been a problem, but check with your state's DMV if you are not sure. You are buying the truck and parts as-is. No warranties.
I expect a $500, nonrefundable deposit within 2 days of auction close, full payment within 14 days, and pickup within 3 weeks. I can help load, but shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If you have ANY questions, please ask before bidding. Mike 770-778-4353. Your winning bid is a contract to purchase.
