Description for Chevrolet Blazer 1978
1978 Chevrolet Blazer. 58K original miles. Unrestored. Every option you can name. 350 4bbl V8. Automatic transmission. Power steering, brakes, windows, locks, tilt steering, Cruise control, trailer tow group, locking rear diff, folding rear seat, factory roll bar. Super rare in a 2wd, sliding vent windows in removable top. This truck was ordered radio delete because the owner knew he was going to install an aftermarket radio. This vehicle was never driven in bad weather. Always garaged. I have every stitch of paperwork from the beginning of time including every NYS inspection recipt, Every repair bill, any and all factory and aftermarket parts installed. You name it, I have it including the original New York title. Yes. The original. The owner made a color 2 sided copy and used that when the vehicle was sold to be able to retain the original. Day 2 add on's include, Exhaust headers and dual exhaust, cb radio, AM/FM/Cd radio and speakers, front driving lights, rear driving lights, bug deflector, sun roof, Transmission temp and vacuum gauges. He owner being an engineer made and installed a heat stove tube that he mounted to the header on the pass side.See the picture. The owner did not want a large tire taking up interior space so he mounted a VW Beetle tire on the rim. He also took the Blazer to an upholstery shop to have the carpet stitched and bound around the roll bar as the factory just cut the carpet. He also added carpet to the tail gate and lower door panels as this was not available from the factory for 1978. He also had a spare cover made to fit the VW tire. The original owner was a Grumman engineer and special ordered this truck brand new with every option he could get. Most of the paint is original. No rust ever. Truck runs and drives like brand new. Some of the recent services include. Original carb just rebuilt, ac compressor and converted to R134, All 4 wheel brakes including brake calipers, master cylinder and brake booster, brake hoses, and wheel cylinders, full tune up, radiator, all fluids, tires only have 7K miles on them. Just power washed the underside, touched up any missing undercoating, painted the oil pan, full detail inside and out. You will never find a 1978 Blazer in such very nice original condition optioned this way. They just don't exist. One of the pictures has Bill the original owner standing beside the truck. Quick side story. My wife who is now 50 years old baby sat the original owners children when she was 12 years old. He drove her home in this exact truck. Kind of cool.
