RB Collection is proud to offer this amazing, unrestored, and unmolested 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door sedan with only 35,621 miles since new. This unique example was bought in 1989 by the second owner with the odometer showing only 21,000 original miles and still with the original tires mounted in the wheels.

This fantastic Bel-Air was bought new at Degnan Chevrolet in Philadelphia, PA (Degnan’s original badge still on the car) and presents the original Onyx Black (code 793) over a Black and Silver interior (code 663). The paint is great, original and with incredible depth. The body is very straight with perfect panel fit, as well the trim, hubcaps and gaskets - typical of unmolested cars. The interior presents, amazing original upholstery in amazing condition. A small tear is found on the front driver seat and the headliner shows stains that do little to detract from the otherwise fine presentation. Carpets and gauges are all original and unrestored. Original options include a radio, heater, cigarette lighter and electric clock.

Drivetrain consists of the 6-cylinder engine which is mated to a 3-speed transmission. Engine presentation is excellent and consistent with an exceptional unrestored car such as this. Likewise, the undercarriage is excellent with no evidence of restoration or repair work. From behind the wheel, this Bel Air is a delight. It feels tight and solid on the road in a way that only the best un-restored cars can offer.

The 1957 Chevrolet is an American cultural icon, and they remain hugely popular and instantly recognizable even more than six decades since they first debuted. Countless examples have been heavily modified, while others have been over-restored to standards far better than they ever were when new. It is therefore extremely rare to find a genuine Bel Air that has been so carefully and lovingly preserved, like this one. No surprise it was awarded by AACA under Historic Preservation (HPOF) and was featured on Chevy Classics Magazine on May 2011.
