Description for Chevrolet Fleetline 1949
Nice solid example of a 49 fleetline.Fuel sys. steam cleaned, new fuel pump, filter and fresh gas added,a little carb clean and points and she came back to life. Next all wheel cyl and new brake hoses with master cyl.rebuild and brakes were back.Rear windshield was broken so a new glass and seal were installed.A new 8 volt battery and there you go.Found some NOS glass tail light lenses and all of the lights are working tail, stop, head lights high and low beam, fog lights, the dome light works when you open the door,I even think there might be one in the glove box.The oil pressure guage works, the speedo works, the ammeter works, the fuel gauge does not it was broken when I pulled the fuel tank down for cleaning .I should have replaced it but I didnt know if the car was going to run or drive at that point.Wipers try to wor, they go up a way then go back down when you close the valve. Was told to ad oil just havent done it. Very little rust on the ca, drivers rocker below the rear door is the majority of it.There are dents, dings bump, bruises all over it look at the pics they can describe it better than I and are a major part of the cars description. Clutch feels good.Great horn!!! Negatives. # 1 cylinder is not hitting. (valve)? Brakes pull to the right front when applied softly. need bled again or adjusted.I think the heater works and she will drive right on to your trailer with ease.
