Description for Chevrolet Stylemaster Series 1947
1947 Chevrolet Stylemaster 2 door Coupe. This is a very solid and original 1947 Chevrolet, I pulled it from a Barn 1 year ago, where it had sat for 20+ years. The previous owner had installed a 1959 235 6 cyl, I was told by the Son of the owner (he passed away) it was rebuilt...no papers or documentation to back it up. The engine runs strong and holds 30+ psi oil pressure at idle, it does not smoke or knock, the car has the original 3 on the tree and does not bind up or "pop" out of gear. The car cruises on the highway at 65+ no problem, it does not over heat or burn oil. All the stock gauges work as they should, even the clock keeps accurate time if you wind it daily, The heater and heater fan work also. The car has a Fulton visor that was on the car when I got it, and looks like it has been on the car since new. The car has been repainted sometime in its life, as it was originally blue, the paint is old and has "patina" there are several chips on both front fenders. The car looks great and presents well for an original 70 year old car, the car is very solid with no rust out but does have dents and dings. The original seats are in great shape, but both front door panels need recovered and the headliner while un-torn, has several stains. The original vacuum wipers kind of work, I would upgrade them to electric. The car has been converted to 12 volt and has an alternator.I have driven the car on several trips and it performs flawlessly, I would upgrade to Radial tires. I had new radials on the car and it drove great, I traded them for the wide white bias ply tires that are now on the car...as it looks more period correct... it no longer drives as well as it did... it now drives like it has bias ply tires...This is a great running and driving car, if it does not sell I will keep it, I'm only listing it to free up money for other projects and give myself some room... my reserve is under 11k, my buy it now is 12,500Thank You for looking at my item, please check my other items as I have more for sale.
Due to the fact that this is a 70+ year old used car and I can not control how it will be used by the new owner there is no warranty or returns. This car is sold as-is. What I have listed and what you see on the car in the pictures is what I have and what you get.
I will need a $500.00 non-refundable deposit within 5 days of sale, and then balance must be paid in full within 10 days of end of auction. If not paid within 10 days the car will be re-listed and deposit not returned.(I will work with you if there is a good excuse. I will not lower price though). I will not charge storage on the car, if car is paid for it can be stored at My home for awhile(1 or 2 months, not a year)until shipping is arranged.
I will not arrange shipping for the car that is up to you the buyer but I will work with you and your shipper in any way I can. (I have a large flat yard that a transport truck can easily turn around on, and I live near I-5 and a large truck stop).
