1958 Impala Project Car

Description for Chevrolet Impala 1958

This is a project car I am selling to help finance my next house purchase. The original factory color was cay coral. I purchased the car from another body shop owner who bought this as a parts car for a 58 impala he built for the Barrett Jackson auction. I stripped the exterior of the car down to bare metal to expose dents and rust. I then lightly blasted the pitted rust on the quarter panels and sprayed etch and black epoxy over it before putting it in storage. The only previous body work that remains visible on the car is a small dime size weld on the driver's door and some holes on the driver side fender above the headlight from someone pulling a dent with screws. The cars floor pan is in pretty good shape requiring a few pans. The rear trunk pan has rust issues. The rocker panels. lower doors. and lower quarter panels need patch work. The roof edges have some rust holes and the top door jam which is part of the roof has rust. The package tray area is rusted pretty badly. I purchased a parts impala which I cut the roof off with the package tray area and the tops of the quarter panels so one could repair the roof and package tray issues. The hood and trunk lid will need repair as well as some other small spots. The car came with a lot of extra parts. most of them doubled up and some even tripled up such as bumper parts. trim. lights. bezels. repair panels. interior parts. etc. Too many to list.
