Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1969
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Big Block 396 Factory correct Monaco (Hugger) Orange with a beautiful black interior. Recent frame-off restoration to an extremely high level. The paint has a show quality finish and the body is truly laser straight. I know this term is over used but this one truly is. There is NO wave at all as you look down the body. The gaps have all been worked to show far tighter and straighter than you'd see on any factory car. All angles of this car are top notch turning heads everywhere it goes.It has a period correct 396ci 325HP Big Block V8. some research is needed to determine if this is a numbers matching car. I have supplied the best photo I can get of the stamping on the block. It has a Holly carburetor feeding an Edlebrock intake giving it the kind of throttle response normally only found on todays modern cars. Exhaust is handled by Hedman headers leading to a set of MagnaFlow mufflers giving it a fantastic burble that grows to a scream as the tachometer climbs towards redline. It has four wheel disc brakes behind a set Coy wheels 17" front 18" Rear. A mild suspension upgrade gives it that perfect stance, inspiring confidence while cruising down the road. Power is fed though a Hurst four-speed shifter that has a rifle-bolt action that's so satisfying. The entire drivetrain has a extremely positive feeling that makes driving a car like this so fun. A posi-trac rear end with 3.55 gearing make this car feel at home on the Friday night stop light drag or cruising down the highway. Its a shame people will not see the underside of this car as it is finished to the same standard as the top. The restoration missed very little, even marking the drivetrain to look as it did when it rolled out of the factory. In other ways thoughtful deviation from the factory as witnessed by the stainless steel fuel tank. You see ads that say "frame off restoration" but re-use old cracked and worn hoses, have nasty unfinished undercarriage and trunks. Not this car! Every detail was attended to, front to back top to bottom. For more photos contact me and I will forward a link.
This is the real deal Chevelle Super Sport 396ci! Bid Confidently knowing this car won't disappoint.
