Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1970
This is my 1970 Corvette coupe that is in excellent condition. It is a matching numbers car with a "last of the high compression" big block motor. The legendary 1970 LS-5 454 cubic inch motor generates 390 horse power and 500 ft. lbs. of monstrous torque. It is connected to it's matching numbers Muncie M-20 4-speed transmission which features a smooth and tight Hurst shifter. The rear axle ratio is 3.08:1 which makes for fantastic long-distance low-revving cruising! It is color code correct in Marlboro Maroon - a rare one year color for a C3 Corvette! - with a correct coded deluxe leather interior in Light Saddle. In the evening the stock metallic color goes to dark red and in sunlight it has a unique brighter salmon tinted hue. The color combination of Marlboro Maroon and Saddle is - stunning!
This car has factory tinted windows and features the factory options of Rally wheels, power steering and power windows, as well as an after-market Corvette logo AM-FM stereo by Classic Car Stereo - that sounds great! - retaining all of the stock looks, location and hardware The car has had a fairly recent repaint in the correct Marlboro Maroon, and a new interior - a cosmetic refresh - and retains a clean, stock engine bay - with it's original engine including the intake manifold, proper Rochester Quadrajet carb, air filter assembly and ignition shielding for radio optioned cars. It has been upgraded with an aluminum radiator to keep this big block running cool.
The car drives perfectly - like a 1970 retro dream! - with no unusual noises - and is smooth and powerful! The car is very clean underneath with no rust and recently replaced suspension rubber, and a full exhaust system that exhales with a very healthy rumble as one would expect from such a powerhouse! All gauges are fully functioning.
This car needs nothing and is ready to enjoy as is! I encourage you to come see this car and take it for a drive to feel it for yourself. I live in bucolic Westchester County featuring many magnificent roads that are fun to drive on! Thanks, and don't let this car get away....it's a 1970 model....which is THE one that collectors covet most due to it's high HP and torque. Couple that with it's matching numbers drivetrain, in a rare and beautiful Marlboro Maroon color, and it's quite an amazing package!....it's a gorgeous and very desirable Corvette that is only going UP in value! Grab it now before they become much more expensive.
