Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1968
Classic story, bought as a restore project years ago, life got in the way, time to sell. It is not drivable, there is nothing in the engine bay - no engine or transmission, and no drive shaft. The hood is not attached as the original owner was planning to use pins so it can be complete removed by lifting it off the car. As you will see in the pictures it has a lot of the interior (will need to be reconditioned or replaced) no rugs, and all glass seems good (front windshield is new but not glued down). As you will notice in the pictures it has a modified front end, similar to the Baldwin Motion conversions of the early 70's (it is why I bought it), flared wheel wells and tail end with an enlarged tail edge (similar to the racing corvettes of the late 60's/early 70's).
If you are looking to restore a C3 vette back to its original condition this is not the vette for you. If you are looking to restore a unique C3 this could be perfect.
If my "buy it now" is used I will give throw in the 350 and 5 speed transmission (you can see part of them under the cover behind the car), if the winner wants it. Although, you will likely have to pay a separate shipping cost if not picking up locally. Otherwise, I will sell them separately. I do not know if they work properly - never installed them.
I am not an expert but I want all prospective buyers to understand that this vette is more of a shell than a running car and will need allot of work to get it drivable to have fun with again - ask questions before you buy. Like with most old cars - all sales are final and deposits are non-refundable.
