I purchased this from the prior owner, who got the truck in Tennessee in 2008, and spent almost 9 years redoing the entire truck in a frame-off, nut and bolt build done in his free time. It comes with a massive folder full of receipts and documentation for practicallyeverything on the truck, and tally's up thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars in parts and components! Everything on the truck is either new, or was completely refurbished to be in like-new condition for the build. A brand new GMPP 350 H.O. engine was purchased for the truck with 333hp and 381ft/lbs of torque. It was matched with a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission connected to a GM 10-bolt with 3.73 gearing to give it plenty of red light power but more than enough room to cruise comfortably on the freeway at 80mph! Vintage Air was the only choice for heating and A/C duties, and the factory style fit and finish of the kit looks fantastic in the truck, along with a modern R134A GM compressor under the hood. Disc brakes were added up front, with drums in the rear, and the whole system gets power assist, which, along with the power steering, makes the truck so easy to drive the whole family can enjoy it! Everything under the hood is new, from the braided lines and aircraft fittings down to the new radiator and HOOKER headers. Inside, the whole interior was done up with a new bench seat, new gauge panel and fully functional gauges, new steering wheel, rearview mirror, and sun visor, and new carpeting throughout. A B&M ratchet shift in a custom console makes shifting a breeze, and toggle switches for the dual gas tanks make long distance trips easy as pie! Custom made cover behind the seat hides the main fuel tank, and the entire fuel system from the tanks to the lines and sending units is all new. Seat belts for safety were added, along with new door pulls, window rollers, window internals, weather stripping, and seals. All new glass everywhere looks flawless. Polished door sill trim is new as well. Bed wood is all brand new, as is the strapping and hardware. Tail gate opens to reveal rust free sides and plastic covered chains. A Chevy logo was painted on the front wall of the bed for fun. Underneath, every is new, and has just 500 miles of grime and dirt on it. New shocks, new lowering/leveling springs, new brakes and lines, new trailer hitch with wiring, new exhaust system,...new, new, new. If it is on the truck, it was either brand new, or completely restored to brand new during the build. The body is all solid steel, and a 4" square kitchen magnet sticks like glue to every painted panel on the truck. It was in the garage during its build time, and shows a few minor blemishes like small dings, paint chips, light scuffs, and things from being covered and used to put the occasional box on, or being bumped by the lawn mower or a bicycle. NOTHING to detract from the overall presentation of the truck, as you can see in the 225 photos of it, but it is NOT 100% perfection. Headlights work, tail lights work, high beams work, brake lights work, horn works, and rear light bar works. It rides on American Racing rims wrapped in MICHELIN XRADIAL LT tires size 31x10.50R15LT radials. The wheels and tires have about 4,000 miles on them, because they were on his other truck, and he decided he liked the look of them on this one, so he swapped. The truck starts easy, idles cleanly, and the choke kicks down like it is supposed to. Snick it into gear, and it has plenty of power off the line, and WILL catch tire easy. It shifts crisp and clean through all the speeds, and cruises the highway without any complaints or issues. It sounds great, with a healthy burble at idle, and a nice bark under full throttle. Cruising noise isn't bad, and you can carry on a conversation or listen to your favorite tunes without any trouble. Braking is smooth and sure, and it stops with ease without any pulling, grabbing, wander, or excessive fade. It tracks perfectly straight on the road, and doesn't pull at all. It does NOT run hot, thanks to the new radiator and cooling system, and the truck sat at idle with the A/C on while I did the photos for about 30 minutes and never went over 185 degrees. If you are looking for a truck you can drive anywhere, without having to work on it, this is probably the truck for you. With all new components throughout, the truck is basically like driving a new car, and you can just hook it to a battery tender and it'll be ready to go the next time you want to take it out. I took 225 photos of it from every angle I could, and I encourage you to ask questions, come see it, or arrange for an inspection if you want to PRIOR TO BUYING IT. I don't have anything to hide, and have tried to cover every part of the truck as best I could. We have a clean FLORIDA title in hand, and it is ready for a new owner. The vehicle is located in our Fort Myers, FL warehouse, and is just 20 minutes away from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) if you want to fly in and see it. I welcome outside inspection services BEFORE YOU BUY OR BID.
