Description for Chevrolet Impala 1964
Crisp, clean, and nicely restored from front to back, top to bottom, inside and outside. The Impala has been one of the most popular full-sized cars of all time for some very good reasons, and this one will remind you why every time you drive it. This car has classic mid-60s styling that really looks sharp dressed in Yellow with its chrome highlights. As you approach the car from the side, a crisp crease along the upper... edge of the fenders and door defines the look. It is accentuated by a chrome strip that runs tip to tail, wrapping around a leaping Impala badge, returning to the back edge of the front wheel well. The roof is trimmed in stainless polished to a nice shine and when the pillarless windows are all rolled down the car has an awesome look to it. The substantial front bumper underlines an eggcrate grill with quad headlights. A red, white and blue Chevy emblem graces the hood and a chrome highlight runs down the center of it. The rear of the car is classic Impala. Triple round taillights surrounded by body color have an aluminum panel with Impala in script that drapes over them. Another sharp looking bumper has a couple chrome exhaust tips peeking out from underneath and Black alloy wheels look perfect on this car. Open the door and you will find a Black interior that is super neat and clean. The door panel is a visual treat with its buttoned and pleated center section outlined by chrome piping with smooth panels on each side and simpler horizontal pleating along the bottom. A black steering has four sections divided by chrome spacers and a semi-circular horn ring with a leaping Impala center. The dash board echoes the long and low look of the car with a horizontal speedometer and engine indicators tucked under its dash shroud. A brushed aluminum panel runs along the lower dash with chrome control knobs and the radio set into it. The split bench seat is a work of art which mirrors the door panel nicely. It has a button pleated upper section to the seat back flanked by smooth vinyl with a nicely patterned seating surfaces. The back seat gets the same treatment but has a center speaker with the Impala logo adding a nice touch to it. Under the hood you will find a neat and clean engine bay with a 283 cubic inch V8 nestled down into it. It is wonderful in its completely stock simplicity with a black snorkel air cleaner assembly and steel valve covers with Chevrolet embossed into them painted Chevy orange along with the rest of the engine. Power is sent back through a 2-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The chassis on this car received as much love as the body and interior did during the restoration. The steering and suspension pieces are all fresh and painted with newer hoses for the power steering along with springs, shocks, control arms and sway bars that all look freshened up with newer bushings. A true dual exhaust system runs back through glass pack style mufflers to those chrome tips. The rubber meets the road through 245/45R18 tires all around mounted on those sweet looking black alloy wheels. A classic mid-sixties Impala looking good in Yellow and Chrome with a comfortable and good looking interior. Come on down. Take it for a ride. You may decide to just keep on riding.
