Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969

1969 Camaro Z28 Project. The body is a real X77 Code Norwood car 1st Week of January build date. I will provide the VIN and complete cowl tag info to serious buyers. The cowl tag indicates the car originally came with a code 725 Midnight Green Deluxe interior, code "s" Midnight Green vinyl Top and paint code ”-" which usually meant no stripes on a Z28 or special paint meaning it could be painted any color in the GM Lineup. Floors, trunk and rocker panels are original and solid. The quarter panels were replaced in the early 90's and the car has sat indoors since. The original Frost Green paint is still visible on the rear, fenders and several other areas. I have just about every part to complete the car although some interior parts may need to be replaced due to aging. Bumpers and trim may need some restoration and most brackets are sprayed semigloss black. I kept all original parts from the car (A arms, brakes, suspension) and are included with purchase. I purchased the car in 2004 From a person in Connecticut. I do not have the original DZ302 but I do have a complete date correct motor that is availablend included (more info regarding motor to follow).

This was my dream car and I was building it into a protouring, LS Car. The undercarriage, wheel wells and trunk are perfect and coated with Raptor Liner bed liner. The front suspension consists of CPP Tubular Control Arms and CPP 14" brakes disc brakes and 12" brakes in rear, Hotchkis Sway Bar, 175lbs coil springs. The rear has Hotchkis 3" drop leaf Springs. I retained all the original parts and will come with the car.

I swapped in a 2005 LS2 6 speed out of a GTO with 9K original miles. The correct motor mounts, transmission crossmember and Hooker Swap Headers were installed with the motor. If the new owner were to stay in this direction with the car they would need to plumb the fuel lines, install the wiring harness that has already been updated by Speartech along with the computer, and the rest would just be installing the parts I have as you would any other restoration, some bodywork and paint. The wheels are 17x8 Cragar SS with 255 BF Goodrich tires.

I planned on keeping this car forever. Part of my plan included building a date correct DZ302 motor that my son would have when he acquired it from me. The engine is on a stand (included) assembled and painted to look good (see pics) but there is no crank, camshaft or pistons in it. The parts list along with part numbers and date codes for the motor are as follows:

DZ Stamp: V1218DZ December 1968 Assembly Date

Date Code: L178 December 17 1968 Block Build Date

Vin 19N569785 - Not visible on pad but can barely be seen by the oil filter on bottom of block.

I know what I have here and what it is worth. I am somewhat negotiable and would consider selling the body/motors separately with the right offer. I will not consider trades. Do not waste my time or yours with lowball offers or any kind of scam. I have a current valid NY Transferable Registration/Title. I would welcome anyone to come and look at the car.
