Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1972

Looking to sell my '72 Chevelle. I've put a lot of time and money into this car. but at this stage in my life I need to let it go. I have a clear & clean title in hand and she's ready to find a new home. This is not a numbers-matching car. Features include:-Crate 350 small block with less than 30K miles on it-- odometer was rolled over to match the motor-Cam work. dual exhaust. very throaty sound-BorgWarner T10 transmission. four-in-the-floor manual with a Hurst shifter-Power brakes-Power steering-Trunk and floors are solid-Carb was just rebuilt and its timing checked-Brand new tires (skinny P215 65/R15 front. wider P245 60/R15 rear)-New Interstate battery-New air filter-New weatherstripping-Lots of new chrome (window/rail molding. door handles)-Paint is PPG Ditzler Hot Rod Black (flat/matte). Car cranks and runs without issue. The only work it needs done now is mostly interior/cosmetic. I just got this car back from the body shop where I had body rust fixed and eliminated. I have included a photo of a refrigerator magnet stuck to the rear fender to show that it's all metal. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------More DetailsVIN: car plate matches titleHistory: I bought the car from another individual here in South Carolina in mid-2010 and it has been in Columbia ever since. Has the car ever been in an accident? None to my knowledge. certainly not since I've owned it. As stated above. it's fresh back from the body shop and has new paint (it needed paint when I bought it. )How is the engine? Cranks and runs great. Prior to putting the car in the body shop I drove it to work on Fridays and to church on Sundays. The carb was recently rebuilt in Greenville. SC and I drove it back with no problem (just under a two-hour drive). What is the transmission? It's a BorgWarner T10 "Bulletproof" transmission. which is a four-speed manual. The car was converted to be a floor-shift by the previous owner and he had this transmission rebuilt. How is the steering? The car has power steering. and turning is effortless. It's incredibly light and easy to turn compared to my '06 Silverado. How is the paint? Brand new. Color is flat "hot rod" black. Only one or two imperfections that I know of. easily touched up if desired. How is the glass? The front windshield is brand new (replaced by insurance). The back glass has custom etching ("SS" and bowtie). and the side glass is overall in good condition with a few minor scratches. How is the chrome? The bumpers are gorgeous. and the molding is mostly new. It's missing the two small pieces that go on the tops of the fenders (which run into the hood's chrome). How is the interior? Back seat is pristine. front seats could use a reupholstering. There aren't any tears or rips in the vinyl. but the foam is old and needs replacing. and the seam where the seat meets the back has separated. The dash pad is in great shape with no cracks that I can see. but the dash itself is the sweep-style non-SS dash and could use some repair. Is there any rust? The underside has some rust. but the frame is solid. This was never a show car or intended to be one with mirrors laid all around it. The body is rust-free to my knowledge-- this is why I took it in to have it repainted. When I bought it there was surface rust bubbling up at the back near the trunk and in the rocker panels. Everything was stripped down and welded properly. then primed and painted. Do the lights work? They all work to my knowledge-- front lamps hi/lo. tail lights. all turn signals. Does the radio work? The radio is an aftermarket Alpine with two 6x9 Pioneers in the back. They work. but I never listened to them myself. Wipers work. gas gauge works. speedometer works. No heat. no A/C. The car DID have factory heat/AC so there is a hole in the firewall with a cover over it. Where is the car located? West Columbia. SC (29170)Bottom line: This is a great car and would make an excellent daily driver as it is reliable. but it is not a show car nor is it 100% restored. It's not numbers-matching. but then again it is priced accordingly. Sounds great. and is fun to drive. Always turns heads. This car is also listed locally and so I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks for looking!!Please call or text 803. 920. 5659 if you have any further questions that I have not answered above.
