Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969
1969 Chevrolet RS/SS Camaro Z10 396 BBC frequently identified as "pace car coupes," the 1969 Camaro Z10s are not merely hardtop versions of the popular Z11 Indy pace cars. They're even more rare (between 200 and 600 were built), and were built for a very limited region in the southwest. Dover White paint job featuring Hugger Orange stripes. This Camaro has had a high quality restoration making this a very nice driver to enjoy. You can be proud to own at any car show, event or track day.
All Z10 coupes were painted code 50 Dover White with Hugger Orange stripes with matching white rocker panels. They also all came standard with the D80 spoilers, ZJ7 rally wheels, ZL2 cowl induction hood, Z22 Rally Sport package, and Z27 Super Sport package. The Z10 stamp on the cowl tag.
A majority of the Z10s were small block cars, far fewer were equipped with the 396. This car has been restored to look like a factory 396with many of the upgrades hidden to make it look like an original. Themotor is now a BBC 540 cubic inch Merlin fire breathing dragon with roller cam and whiplash acceleration but still runs off of pump gas so you can get in and drive it anywhere. The 4 speed transmission is connected through the drive train to a 12 bolt 4:10 gear posi making this car launch like a rocket. The engine dumps into a set of stock exhaust manifolds with all the attention in detail to make the exhaust look like factory from front to back. Lots of photos from the restoration show all the attention to the smallest detail.Just about every nut and bolt on the car has been restored to make this a 1969 Camaro Z10 that runs and drive like new. This car is as clean under the car as it is on the exterior or interior of the car. A lot of restorations skip cleaning up underneath. This is one of the cleanest cars I have ever seen underneath. Attached are many of the photos of how clean this car really is.
I am only considering sellingmy cars as we are moving out of the country. I am in no hurry to sell it, I may put it in the Mecum orBarret Jacksonauction asthis car is that nice to bring top dollar. You could buy it and be on TV reselling the car. I do not need any help selling and will probably cry when I see it go. This car is a very special car to me but it is time for someone else to enjoy it and be the caretaker of it for generations to come. If you are the lucky new owner You can fly into DFW and drive the car home. It is road ready and I would feel good about taking it on a trip anywhere. I also own a Z11 Pace car survivor I would be willing to sell them both as a package deal.
