Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969
Up for auction is a 1969 Camaro Z/28. As you can tell from the many pictures this car has had an extensive and complete frame off restoration. No bolt was left unturned. The entire car was completely disassembled with every item professionally rebuilt or replaced. This car retains its original X77 cowl tag as seen in the pictures. the rally sport option has been added to this car to make it even more desirable on top of its Z/28 package. From the many pictures I'm sure you can see this car also has the infamous cowl induction hood along with factory tach and gauges. deluxe comfort weave interior. and tilt wheel with an original rosewood to top it off. The bodywork is second to none. It is as strait as an arrow. Every panel is aligned with its adjacent panel as Chevrolet could only dream about. All the body panels are aligned as perfectly as anyone could ever want them to be with even gaps all the way around. Great lengths were taken to make this happen as I'm sure you know they never did from the factory. The paint finish is phenomenal. The clear coat was blocked first and then sanded up to 2000 grit before buffing . There is no orange peal on flat surfaces of this car anywhere. The car literally appears to be an orange sheet of glass. The car is also believed to retain its original block . All casting numbers. casting dates. and stampings appear to be correct. The VIN number above the oil filter is barely legible but the numbers do seem to coincide with the VIN of the car. As you know these numbers were not stamped very deep into the casting of the block and can be hard to read . The engine has been completely rebuilt. The block is bored . 030 over with new forged pistons. The 302 crank was turned. rods resized. and a complete 3 angle valve job tops things off. The correct 472 intake is on the engine as well as an original DZ carburetor. The complete smog system has been restored and reinstalled as well . As you can see there was no expense spared in completing this restoration. This car will definitely impress you and be a great addition for anyone who purchases it . There is far too much to tell about the restoration of this car in a short for sale add . Please call if you have any questions about the car before bidding. I can tell you anything you would like to know. You can reach me at 336-214-0536 .
