Description for Chevrolet Impala 1964
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS for your consideration. Finished in a Dark Burgundy exterior with a rare factory optioned Silver interior. Under the hood is a 409ci Big Block V8 making over 400hp through a 700R4 transmission with overdrive. This Impala was a complete frame off restoration and had some aftermarket parts installed during, including; ported and polished headers, Isky camshaft, bigger fuel pump, vintage A/C, and vacuum canisters. The carburetor has recently... been rebuilt and this SS received all new interior, door/window rubber, new wiring harness, and hood hinges. This Impala is a fantastic driver with great power. Along with the restoration, there is full documentation to go with it. With this being completed with overdrive, A/C and a Bluetooth radio with aftermarket stereo system makes this Impala a very enjoyable car to cruise in. The signature taillight assembly had an "upside-down U" shaped aluminum trim strip above the taillights, but the individual lights were surrounded by a body-colored panel. The 409 cu in (6.7 L) V8 engine returned as the big-block option, as well as the Rochester 2X4-barrel carburetors setup for the 425 bhp (431 PS; 317 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 425 lbâ‹...ft at 4,200 rpm of torque engines. SS models continued to feature the engine-turned aluminum trim. Rooflines were carried over from 1963 unchanged. Backup lights were standard.
