1955 Chevrolet 210 Two-door Hardtop Restomod Description

1955 Chevrolet 210 Two-door Hardtop Restomod

350 CID V-8 engine Turbo Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic transmission Maroon exterior with gray interior Power steering and power front disc and rear drum brakes Tilt steering column and tinted glass Recent restoration with the same owner for the past 1o years

Straddling the line between the workaday 150 and the glitzy Bel-Air, Chevrolet's mid-priced sedan and coupe in 1955 was the 210. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this 210 Two-door Hardtop Restomod.

This example originally came off the assembly line at GM's Kansas City, Missouri factory. It has been recently restored by the previous owner of 10 years. The exterior is brilliant maroon while the interior is complimentary gray.

The car's paint and trim are in overall excellent shape while the tinted glass panels are in mostly clear and intact, however the windshield presents some rock chips but no cracks. The car's lights are in very good condition.

This 210's bodywork is straight and solid, the battery looks new, its engine bay is extremely tidy and the car's shiny chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body. This Tri-Five rolls on Cooper Cobra Road G/T radials, 235/60R15 at all four corners. Each tire is wrapped around a vent Rally wheel. The wheels are in good overall shape as are the tires.

Under that hood is a 350 CID V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor and breathing through dual exhausts. Mated to the V-8 is a Turbo Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic transmission. Driver convenience features include power steering, power front disc and rear drum brakes, tilt steering column and tinted glass.

Inside, a neutral gray cloth replaces the original interior. The fold-forward front seats are in overall great shape, while the black carpeting looks excellent. The headliner and four-spoke aftermarket steering wheel are look great while the instrument panel is in overall excellent order. The inner door panels echo the rest of the interior's theme and look fantastic. A B&M shifter rides on the transmission tunnel and looks great. Completing the car's interior is a Retro Sound AM/FM stereo with cassette deck.

The '55 model year marks the introduction of a new chassis and the debut of the Chevrolet's legendary small block V8. The center door frame was beefed up for more safety and had 11-inch drum brakes. The Two-Ten buyer was free to choose any powertrain option available. The ammeter and oil pressure gauges were changed to warning lights.

It took its name by shortening the production series number (2100) by one digit in order to capitalize on the 1950s trend toward numerical auto names. The numerical designation "210" was also sporadically used in company literature. It replaced the Styleline DeLuxe model available in previous years. The Biscayne replaced the Two-Ten after the 1957 model year.

Competitors to this Chevrolet in 1955 included Ford's Mainline Business Coupe, Hudson's Wasp Custom Hollywood Hardtop, Kaiser's Manhattan Club Coupe, Nash's Statesman Coupe and Plymouth's Plaza Coupe.

This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 577 miles which is understood to be miles since restoration. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
