Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955
Decisions, decisions. Why are some choices so hard to make? It has been restored in all its original, factory correct glory, and it is about impossible to find anything wrong with it. So, the tough decision would be, do you trailer it, or drive it to the shows. Rolling in top down would be awesome! But, you may want to keep it spotless and collect some trophies with it first. Hmm? Come on down and check this car out. Make it yours, and the choice will be yours. The craftsmanship exhibited in the restoration of this car is second to none. But a job like this is also about the long hours of hard work to make all the adjustments to the body panels, and prepping the surfaces before the paint ever gets loaded in the gun. Only then it was sprayed in the factory original Coral with India Ivory two tone. The car looks awesome with the top down and dressed up in its Coral boot, but it also looks amazing when the power operated White roof is raised up. All the chrome and trim is new, and after all, the chrome is one of the things that makes a Bel Air so special to begin with. The rocket on the hood is matched by rocket shaped trim down the side of the body defining the two-tone paint, while rocker trim drips off the trailing edge of the front fender then runs along the bottom. Open the door, or just peek inside, and you will see that the stunning craftsmanship continues. The door panel has slashes of chrome dividing the Gray center from the Coral top and bottom. It just doesn't get any better than a Bel Air steering wheel with a full circle horn ring and that wonderful badge in the center. The dash is flawless painted in Coral with every single piece of chrome surrounding the gauges shining bright. A polished center panel runs across the dash to the passenger side which hold a clock and Bel Air lettered in gold on that side. The seats have stitching on the Gray seating surfaces surrounded by smooth Coral and topped again in gray. The carpets are gray also, and are protected by vinyl floormats with red, white and blue Chevrolet badges. Needless to say, the trunk is detailed out with the same level of care as the rest of the car in order to gather up some of those precious show points. Open the hood and you will find a 265 cubic inch V8 that is gloriously stock nestled down in an extremely well detailed out and completely stock engine bay. A black air filter sits on top of an engine painted the correct shade of Orange. Chevrolet lettered into the valve covers has been carefully dressed in black and there is attention to detail everywhere. Those decisions get even harder when it makes you pause and think about running this car down the road because the heat may discolor the exhaust manifolds or something, especially if you give in to the temptation to let the horses run a bit. The power it makes is sent back through a 2-speed automatic transmission, and by now you know full well that the undercarriage of this car is worthy of the full mirror treatment. Every single piece has been restored and dressed for the show. The car sits on body colored wheels with bowtie hubcaps and 205/70R15 wide white wall tires. This is a very special car looking for a very special owner. Would that be you? Hmm? Decisions decisions.
