I am selling a beautiful 1971 Chevelle SS 454. It's a great looking car that drives as good as it looks. It has a NOM big block 454 in it now with all the correct SS trim & badges, but I believe it was an original SS396 car. The radiator emissions sticker reads LT 402ci V8, which was the motor that only came in the SS 396. It also has a working Cowl Induction hood, TH400 transmission, 12 Bolt Posi Rear, power disc brakes & steering, SS dash, SS steering wheel with tilt column, bucket seats with center console, 15" rally wheels, etc... It starts right up every time, idles smooth, runs, drives and stops as it should. The 454 big block has plenty of power and the car feels great going down the road - I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. The doors, hood, and trunk all open and close nicely. The frame, floors, and trunk are all in very good shape. The body looks great and the red paint shines beautifully with minor imperfections up close. The chrome is in good shape overall, but does show its age in spots. The black interior is in very good shape, with minimal wear from age and use. All lights, windows, wipers, etc.. all function as they should.
Overall, its a beautiful, turn-key driver that demands attention going down the road. It's not a perfect show or museum car, but a piece of real American muscle you can drive and enjoy.
