Description for Chevrolet Impala 1963

Listing as a Impala since there is no category for Biscayne. The car had not been running for a long time I picked it up and got it running as something fun and cool to drive while I was working on another project. My problem is now I want to keep doing more to it and its taking away from my project time for the other car I should be working on. I am going to let it go before I get out of hand with it.
Its a 63 Biscayne with a target 350 and a Super T10 4-speed
Body has some dents, dings and minor rust like almost any car its age but over all its a solid straight car. The rust is minor at the bottom of the fenders and 1/4's. The rockers and overall skeleton of the car is solid. The floors had pans put in at one time. They did a decent amateur job. Its not perfect but fine for a driver. Frame is straight and rust free. No signs of any accident damage.

The front and rear seats were redone at one time and are in fairly good shape still. The rest of the interior will need total and complete replacement.
I was told the front brakes were done not too long ago and dual master cly added. The shoes looked like they still had at least 1/2 of their life left but I did replace a leaking wheel cly. up front last week. The rear brakes were trashed so I just replaced everything in the rear.
Motor was a target 350. I was told it was replaced a few years ago but I have no proof of when or if it was. I changed the oil and fired it up. It sounds good and runs smooth. Has block hugger headers, resent aluminized exhaust, edelbrock carb and intake. Mechanically I see nothing wrong with the engine at all. It has a new fuel pump and starter.

It was converted over to a 4speed including a correct floor shift column. A Centerforce clutch was used and works perfectly. The transmission is a Super T10 and drives and shifts perfect but its really noisy especially in 3rd gear. I suspect the front bearing needs replaced. If the car does not sell rebuilding the transmission will be one of the first things I do.

The front suspension was rebuilt a few years ago and they added performance sway bars front and rear so it handles great. The factory springs are a little worn and saggy but I have a new set of springs that go with it.
The wheels are a wider version like what would have come on a high performance 409 car. They are painted red and look great. The BFG tires have brand new tread but are about 8 years old according to the DOT's so I would plan on replacing them pretty soon
All the lights work. The horn and wipers do not and I have not looked in to why yet. The heater core is not connected so I assume it might have leaked and that is why its disconnected.

Overall its a great fun car to use as is or take the the next level. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. I will give 100% honest answers good or bad.

The car is for sale in Dallas TX I reserve the right to end early if it sells in a local listing. Clear open Oklahoma title. You could drive it home but I would be scared of the tire age and think a better idea would be trailer it if its going any kind of distance.
