Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955
30 years ago my girlfriend parked her station wagon at the family farm and it has sat there ever since until recently when it was given a coat of primer. had some dents removed and the drivers side front floor pan was replaced along with a small patch on the passenger side. The engine turns but at best will be a core engine. same goes for the transmission. The brake system will need a rebuild and the hand brake handle is stuck. the cable is missing too. The wiring appears to be complete but will need repairs. it should be salvageable. The tires and rims are mismatched and the wrong size. there should be one good one for the spare. Suspension and steering is pretty good from what I can tell. Interior is missing one of the front pillar windshield garnish moldings. the heater controls and the headlight switch knob and bezel. I think all the rear seat parts are there but am not 100% certain. The sheet metal is pretty good as you can see from the photos. which show it before any work was done and with a different set of front fenders. which were changed for a better pair. I don't know what happened to the core support. it looks like it was hacksawed. Only one window is there. and there is no front seat. I have no parts not pictured EXCEPT the original windshield wipers which are in good shape. and the heater/fan which is very rusty/rotted. This car would be a great starting point for a hotrod or stock restoration. as the bulk of the body work has been done and all that is left is some door dings and the damage to the rocker panels which can be seen in the pictures. There will still be some assembly work to do on the front end sheet metal. and there is no front bumper. The car was painted with black and white Zero-Rust brand primer on the parts that show. and with rustoleum on the floorpans. Always happy to send more pictures or to answer questions. thanks for looking!
