I have a beautiful 1972 Monte Carlo with 38,000 original and documented low miles. This car is as solid as a rock and runs/drives like it just come out of the new car showroom.
The drivetrain is the very desirable 350 Engine and 350 Turbo Transmission, Power steering--Power disc brakes—Cold factory Air Conditioning, all dash lights, guages and everything else works except the radio.
The car has had a repaint at one time in it's life and a really nice and straight, slick job, all the chrome and stainless are impeccable, bumpers are the same way with the rare front and rear bumper guards.
The interior is all original and super nice including the headliner, package tray and carpet. The driver side front bottom seat has two very small places that look like maybe from a cigarette spark.
Dash pad has no cracks like most Monte's get in cold weather so that tells me, plus some other things the car hasobviouslybeen garaged it's life, the woodgrain is also like new! The glass is crystal clear all factory tinted and has no scratches and no discolor at all. The trunk has no rust, no repair and still has the original spare tire that appears to have never been used. Car has new looking tires and really nice original rally wheels, rings and caps.
Overall this car is a get in turn key and drive anywhere so if your looking for a 1st generation Monte Carlo that is basically a virgin other than the repaint you have found it!! These Monte's are steadily going up in value so why not buy while they are still affordable, a 72 Chevelle in this condition are in the mid 30's and don't ride/drive near as good as the Monte Carlo's do because I have owned several of each in my 70 years. Most cars I have listed on eBay do not make it to the end so if you wait until the end to bid you may lose it!
