Description for Chevrolet El Camino 1969

For sale 1969 Elcamino SS:

It was an A/C car but does not have the A/C pump currently.

It has a Big Block 427 now, it is not the numbers matching motor, but it may also be available.

The 427 has a GM nitrated steel crank that has been knife edged, the counterweights have been polished and the rod and mains have been Micro Polished.

It has forged Max Light I beam rods, and Forged pistons, with Chrome alloy rings. Piston tops are polished to a mirror finish.

Heads are square port aluminum fully ported, stainless, lightweight, nitro coated valves, nextech springs with titanium retainers.

It has Tand D shaft mounted rocker system, so it can use a stock valve covers, instead of roller rockers, and stud girdles which require tall valve covers.

It is a solid roller cam ( also micro polished ) cam and roller lifters are from Comp. Cams.

It has a dual plain intake painted to retain a stock look, but it is ported and taller than a stock intake.

The block is a GM HP pass block NOT a tall deck truck block. 4 bolt main, it is truly blueprinted.

It was designed to, and runs on pump gas.

It was dyno tuned, with an SS 830 CFM Quick Fuel Carb.

It has MSD professional series (black) box and coil. It has an MSD crank trigger, and MSD crank Trigger (ford cap ) distributor.

It has a stock appearing aluminum radiator, and a Stewart race series belt driven water pump.

Car does not have overheating issue even in traffic.

A full manual shift turbo 400 trans from ATD transmissions, and a coan torque converter.

A narrowed 12 bolt rear axle with 33 spline axes, C clip eliminators, custom 33 spline Posi traction with US gear Spider gears. We installed a support cover, and it has 3:73 gear ratio.

Hooker or Headman Headers with 3 inch exhaust and Dyno max turbo Mufflers.

The bottom and frame of the car have been restored, the inside of the frame had an undercoating process done to it.

The frame also has a crome alloy bracing ran down it and supports.

The interior is black, it is in nice shape, it has autometer gauges, and Tach.

It has Micky Thompson Dot drag radial tires with Billet Specialties wheels. The original paint looks goo, but it shows its age. There is no rust, rust holes or dents.

We put the engine in at the end of the summer 3 years ago, took it to the last street tire shootout at Stanton that summer. It ran 11:88 in the quarter mile, the trans was build be ATD after that.
