Description for Chevrolet C-10 1972
Most of the Chevy pick-up trucks going back to the 40s have become desirable and collectible. But the early 70s models, like this '72 C10, bring a classic look to a truck that doesn't feel like an antique. A frame off restoration made it easy to make sure everything was done right including some nice upgrades. Check it out. It is immediately obvious that some true craftsman had a chance to get things right before they sprayed... on one drop of that beautiful Springtime Yellow paint. The body gaps are clean and consistent and the light reflects off flat panels in long straight lines and in smooth arcing lines around the curves. A little chassis rake gives the truck a bit of attitude when viewed from the side and those 18" titanium alloy wheels looks perfect with the yellow paint. Fresh chrome dresses out the eggcrate grill with a Chevy bowtie in the middle and underlines it with a sharp looking bumper. A Cheyenne 10 badge graces the front fenders, and at the back, the Chevrolet embossed into the tailgate is highlighted in black and is underlined by another shiny new bumper. All the lighting on the truck is LED and the glass is all new too. Drop that tailgate and you will find a nice wooden slat bed with polished rails and rhino lined sides. Open the door and you will find a Black interior that is as neat and clean as the outside. It all looks brand new because it is. The door panel has an embossed pattern in the upper section which is trimmed in chrome piping. The bucket seats are also freshly recovered with pleated seating surfaces in a matching embossed pattern and smooth side bolsters and trim. A large center console rests between them offering good storage and cup holders. A deep dish three spoke wheel has a bowtie center button and is mounted on a tilt column along with the shifter for the automatic transmission. Behind it is a spotless dash with bright chrome piping surrounding the gauges as well as edging the dash panel and it is all illuminated by LED lighting. R134 A/C will keep you cool on those hot summer days and there is an FM/Bluetooth stereo installed for your listening pleasure. A new headliner and carpeting with yellow bowtie floormats ties the look together nicely. Pop the hood on this truck and you will find a 350 cubic inch motor nestled down in a spotlessly neat and clean engine bay. It is definitely show and go, with a nice emphasis on show. A polished and ribbed air topper with an embossed bowtie matches the polished finned valve covers nicely. The compressor, alternator and water pump are chromed and the radiator support cover is stainless. A FITech fuel injection setup sits under that air topper and feeds the engine through and Edelbrock intake while Hedman long tube headers handle the exhaust side. The A/C lines are routed neatly around and into the firewall letting those yellow inner fenders shine bright and a Champion radiator with dual electric fans keeps everything running cool. Power is sent back through a three-speed automatic transmission and coil springs as well as disc brakes all around make this truck ride nice, handle well, and stop on a dime. The rubber meets the road through 255/55R18s all around mounted on those sweet alloy wheels. An early '70s classic pickup with a frame off restoration and some first-class mods. Come on down and check it out. It might be just the vintage truck you have been looking for.
