Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1970
The moment you lay eyes on this car, you can see that it's a beauty. But the beauty of this car isn't just skin deep. It's beautiful on the inside and all the way down to its toes too, which happen to be slipped into chromed 20" American Racing shoes. Check it out. This car is presented in the color it was born with, code 28A Fathom Blue. Before a drop of that beautiful blue paint was... laid on it though, plenty of prep work was done to make sure the panels were smooth, the edges were crisp, and the finished job would be stunning. Mission accomplished. Bold white stripes run up the cowl induction hood which has hood pins holding the front down so the beast within doesn't try to jump out. The white vinyl roof nicely compliments the stripes which pick back up on the trunk again. Chrome dresses out the black grill which has SS in the center as well as the quad headlights and the bumper that underlines it all. Wheel well molding get a splash of flash as well and there is an SS LS3 badge on the front fender. The back bumper is a simple rectangle with a series of parallel lines outlining a blacked-out center panel with SS in white. Open the door and you will find a rich Ivory interior that, like the paint, is the color that this car was originally built with. The door panel itself has a pleated center section trimmed out in thin chrome piping with an SS emblem at the front of it. The bucket seats have a pleated treatment in the center with smooth side bolsters and chrome tracing the edges of the framework. Settle into the driver's seat and your hand will fall naturally to the horseshoe shifter in the center console for the automatic transmission. Behind the three spoke steering wheel is a stock dashboard with the addition of Dakota gauges which are a really nice touch, and a new sound system with Kenwood 6x9s in the back shelf for your listening pleasure. Ventilation controls include those for the Vintage Air system to keep you cool on those hot summer days. Pop the hood and you will find that 6.2-liter LS3 crate motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. It has a Corvette LS3 dress up kit along with a cold air intake system, polished accessories, mounts, and pulleys, and an aluminum radiator with a chromed mount. The wiring to the all-new computer control systems is neatly run and loomed. Doug's long tube headers head back to dual Magnaflow mufflers. Power flows back through a built TH400 three speed automatic to the rear wheels which get the power to the ground quite effectively thanks to a coil over suspension upgrade. Up front, tubular control arms and coil springs keep things under control. New steering components as well as sway bars front and rear make this car handle really well while drilled and slotted front discs are joined by a set of rear discs to make sure you can haul this car back down in a hurry at need. The rubber meets the road through 275/35ZR20s in the back and 255/35ZR20s in the front mounted on those American racing wheels. This car is a stunning beauty outside, inside, and inside out. Come on down and see for yourself.
